Charge 2 suddenly under-tracking run distance

Last night on my run I noticed my average pace was much slower than usual, and after several laps around the track, my charge 2 said I had only ran a little over 2 km. This is strange, because I know the size of this track, it should be displaying a distance of around 3.5 km by this point. This morning, I went on my morning run not on a track, and on this run I have each kilometer mark measured out. I actually finished this run five minutes quicker than usual, but instead of displaying a little over 4 km as it should, it said I clocked in at around 2.3 km, nonetheless the step count remained the same as usual. Even when I turned GPS off, it was still mistracking my distance. The map is showing the exact route I took, but the distances are not accurate. Could this be a hardware problem? Some extra information: I currently live in China as a Peace Corps volunteer, and the gps tracker uses google maps which is blocked here, although I think it is strange that it was working fine until yesterday all of the sudden.

Update: I tried restarting my device and restarting my phone. Neither worked. It seems my normal walking distances are being tracked correctly. The GPS paths are being mapped properly, it is just calculating the distance wrong. For example, I ran the exact same route last week and then this morning, but the kilometer splits are in totally different places. Based on my measurements at a standard running track tonight, distances are being under-measured by anywhere from 20-50%

I have the same issue with my Fitbit Versa.

My watch is configured to show distance in km, but it appears that the distance shown is in miles.

In my last run, the result shown is 7,54 km, but in fact I ran 10,00 km. The map registered the correct track.

I'm having the same problem since the fitbit app updated a couple of weeks ago.  My usual route is a total of 3.9 miles in which I do a 3 mile run plus a 5 min warm up and cool down either side.  However at the end of my 3 mile run today my charge 2 was showing 2.02 miles when I had actually run 3.06.  I also use the mobilerun bit on the fitbit app to track my total route (including warm up and cool down) and this was showing 5 miles despite the total only being 3.91.  However when I then check the logs/map in the fitbit app I get two coming up (one for the run and one for the total route) and the run is showing 2.02 miles and the total route is showing 4 miles (not 5 as was on screen).  As it happened I had Strava running today as well in order to compare and this has imported logs from my charge 2 and is showing a correct distance of 3.06 as expected.  I can therefore only assume it's the fitbit app causing problems with GPS.

Same issue with my Charge 3.  Last two runs have been 10km & 11km, but the fitbit app is showing me 7.2km and 7.9km, event though the GPS map in the fitbit app is showing the correct route which measures to my expected distances.  (I almost wondered if it was showing in miles, but that doesn't seem quite right either).  Running in Canada here.
