Just got my charge 2 and text and call notifications not coming through...I have done lots of troubleshoots that I have read about and nothing is working I have iPhone 6s

I've followed the instructions but I don't get the option to set up with existing account, just to log in. So no code!

@debbietblue have you checked the app settings, the phone settings, the DND mode on the tracker irself, does the Charge 2 show up as comnected in the phones Bluetopth, if android (it sure would be nice when mentionning a phone problem to also mention the phone) do you get notifications on the lock screen, is your phone on thr compatible list.

 

@Bumbleb33 this thread is about notifacations, what is it that you want to do, and what device is neing used to do this? Normally a user needs to be logged into their Fitbit account to do something with their existing account.

I am having the exact same problem i have tried resting fitbit. Disconnecting it and going through setup process as stated in comments on this post. I recieve phone calls notifications but not messages even tho i have them set to give me notifications i have tried everything i possibly can and it will not fix 😕 im not happy at all iv only had this fitbit for 1 month and it was a birthday present

I am not longer getting notifications on my Charge 2. I have followed the instructions re forgetting my device and deleting the app off my phone. Went to fitbit/setup which sent me to the app store to download app. Added new device, got the four digit code... Did this twice, still not receiving notifications.

Might be silly but have you pressed the side button to make sure that notifications are switched on?

I had this with mine, switched notifications off and on again and then it all worked!

I have tried all of this and am still not getting vibrations for notifications. I am getting a vibration for alarms, but not texts/calls or reaching my goal. I have N iPhone 7. Any ideas?

Severa question for Fit Bit

How long is this outage of incomming Text/notifications not working been known to your organization?
How long/ when is the proposed patch going to be available?
Is this issue similar to the software flaw that effected sleep tracking that occurred in September of this year. That was the issue where we the customers were openly and consistently lied to by your organization.
Why would I ever consider buying / recommending any product from your Company based on your history of incompetence and lack of customer service?

My fitbit Charge 2 is not showing me the texts or calls on my device. I have tried restarting twice, I also tired unpairing then repairing the device to my phone. I also tried reinstalling the app. Nothing seems to be working.

UPDATE: learned that my 5 year old pushed the side button on my fitbit... didn't check that one... good call fitbit community!

I did as @Lotharlux said....I saw that I had turned notifications off on the Fitbit itself but had no idea how I did it - I just held the button on for a few seconds until it displayed "Notifications On"

I am having the same problem too, calls and texts not displaying on my fitbit Charge 2.  I want to try suggested solution but I am worried I will loose my weekly progress, as I am competing with several other people each week.  Do you know if I will lose my progress?

My problem was an easy fix.  Hold down the button for a second or two and a message appeared that turned on the notifications-didn’t effect anything but my notifications came back

No you will not loose any data. You only need to toogle the notifications
on using button on the fit bit tracker.
