I've been wearing Fitbits since 2015, and my Charge 2 since about the time they came out. Today I had a really, really strange sleep report. I went to bed last night about 10, had a couple of brief wake-ups, and woke up for good at 7:00. I got up, got some coffee, made the bed, ate breakfast, and sat down to my computer. I looked at my Fitbit dashboard & sleep score, which was pretty much what I remembered (ending about 7 am), checked my email, caught up on the news, etc. A little after 9, I went out for a long walk. Much later in the day I checked in with Fitbit on my computer again, and was astonished to discover that it had actually continued my sleep pattern (albeit mostly awake) right through the time I had been computing.
Why did it add almost 2 hours to my sleep pattern? I can't imagine dozing off while sitting in my chair typing angry messages on Twitter, which is what it seems to think I was doing in my sleep!

@econklin It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!
Let me help you with your Charge 2 sleep detection. Your device will start recording sleep after it detects an hour of inactivity. If you have a light sleep or move too much then this may difficult your sleep detection. Additionally you can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand to decrease the amount of movement it is subjected to. Finally you can restart your device. You can also manually log your sleep time. You can read more about sleep detection here. In this case when you woke up maybe the movement wasn't that much for the tracker to actually stop the sleep recording. Still you can edit your sleep log and see how it behaves.
Let me know how it goes.
