Charge 2 - unable to synch to Samsung J4

Hi everyone. I recently upgraded my phone to a Samsung J4. However, when I try to synch my device to the phone, it doesn't pick it up.

my Bluetooth is on.

ive read the help guide and it says press and hold down the button on your Charge 2 and that will restart it after 4 seconds. Tried that, didn't restart.

also, I charged my Charge 2 only yesterday morning and it's got 55% charge left after 24 hours ?

Do you still have your old phone? If so, make sure it doesn't still have a link to the fitbit in its bluetooth settings as this could be blocking connection to your new phone.

 

If it's not that then it may be that the new phone won't work with fitbits - it's not on the list of supported phones at www.fitbit.com/devices

 

Hopefully someone else with that phone will tell of their experiences.

Thanks. The old phone is off, so it wouldn't have the Bluetooth connection anymore.

However, if the Samsung J4 isn't comparable with the Charge 2 that's probably the answer.

But why won't it restart ?

I'll have to take the phone with me and Use Map My Run or Strava ?

Was the Charge 2 on charge when you tried the restart?
