My Fitbit is on firmware 22.58.00 and my app says my Charge 2 is current. I will have had the device for 2 years this October (2020). But, my Charge 2 is not working vibrating and flashing notification on/off or just display battery after I reset until the battery completely wears down. I searched this forum and tried suggestions reset device and ensured the button one the Charge 2 is not stuck. But cannot restore the device to see time, track steps and other
My battery usually keeps a charge for several days with normal use, but the issues keeps the device on all the time. Steps are still being tracked when the device syncs, but I am about to call it quits. Is it time to switch to another device or can this be fixed?

Mine is doing something similar. It got stuck just vibrating and adding steps without me wearing it! It ran nonstop until it died. I put it back to recharge and it fully charged but starting vibrating again. Then an exclamation point appeared on the screen and it turned off. It kept turning back on and I had to put it in another room because it was driving me crazy! Noticed quite a few comments with similar issues. Thought it was device only But it appears to be a glitch or a problem with the Fitbit charge 2. Please advise or replace. I love and need my Fitbit! Thanks!

Same thing just started to happen to mine today. I also noticed yesterday that my Android phone couldn't find the device (Charge 2) and still can't but it always has before so it doesn't synchronise with my account.

My Charge 2 just started doing the same thing as well. If I charge it it will stop for a bit but won’t track my steps. Any way to fix this. Thanks so much!

I have the same problem!
one day my Fitbit just started flashing on/off.
I did the same as you... search for possible problems, tried different methods.
Let the battery empty and come back on. It did it for a few hours and then stopped. Back to normal. Last night it was charged, but woke with an empty battery. Charged it again. Normally I charge it while taking a bath or shower. Battery last 2-3 days. Now it’s empty again. What can the problem be? And how can I fix it?
Hope somebody can provide advice.

Happening to my Fitbit Charge 2 also. Sounds like there’s a software glitch given so many customers reporting this problem. Pls advise!

Will the others also experiencing this issue also be contacted? It doesn't seem coincidental that we started experiencing the same symptoms in the same timeframe. Firmware update glitch perhaps?

I bought mine new. It’s 3 years old. Never had a problem before and now just “dead”

I've tried everything (that is listed below in this post) but have now given up. Zero response from Fitbit - they can't or don't want to fix the issue. So I've binned it.
I've bought a Xiaomi Mi Band 5 at a quarter of what I paid for the Charge 2. It has the same functions and it's waterproof with a swim mode.
If it only lasts a year I will be happy. At least I won't feel cheated.

I am having the same issue. I have already reset but the same thing continues to happens the screen flashes through the notifications on and off, workout modes and basically drains the battery. I can't change the screen or anything. Based on the number of people reporting this it sounds like an issue version update. My device was working fine and has no damage until last Wednesday. Can a fix be released?
