Charge 2 will not connect with new phone

I recently bought a new phone (Moto G30). I reinstalled the fitbit app, diconnected my charge 2 from the bluetooth on my old phone, made sure the fitbit app could use my location etc.... When I try to link up my charge 2 to the app the app does find it and give a number to sync but it won't sync. I have tried all the tricks I could find online including restarting the Charge 2, restarting my phone, disconnecting bluetooth and so on. Nothing works. Please help!!!
