Ever since I got my fitbit Charge 2, text messages have never displayed. I can see that I have a text message, but not the message itself. I never thought anything of it because I thought that was normal. Today, I found out that my friend with the same kind of fitbit is able to read her text messages. I don't know what to do to fix it. All of my notifications and permissions are enabled to receive them. I also just upgraded my phone from the Samsung S7 to the S9+ and still doesn't work. Thanks for your help.

I am also having this issue in my charge 2 and it also started sometime after an update. I wonder if it's some sort of bug now.

I'm having the same issue with mine. It also won't show my stats after a workout/run/elliptical like it used to. (I have a Google Pixel 2)

I am having the same problem with my Galaxy S8. It started recently and I suspected it was related to an upgrade. I hope it is corrected soon. Thanks for sharing the info!

This is so frustrating, I have recently upgraded my phone to Samsung S9+ and now I am unable to read my messages on my fitbit. I have all my notifications switched on as I should but still not showing 😞

I also have the Google pixel 2. I can't read my texts or see who is calling me. Very frustrating as I'm not allowed to have my phone out at work so really rely on my Fitbit to let me know if it's something important.

I am experiencing the same issue. I have a one plus three. It worked not problem a few months back. I don't know when it stopped working as I hadn't paid much attention. I have done everything suggested and while I am now able to see that a text has been sent, and from whom, it no longer scrolls the actual text across my screen. .... I'm extremely frustrated!!!

Same problem here!! It will only display the name of the person who sent the message. Annoying!

I found this was the case for me too, one day it worked, the next it didn't! It stopped working early July I think. I've tried checking all my settings, uninstalling etc... but nothing works. I get notification, but no message appears. Frustrating!! I have a Galaxy S9
Please sort this!!!!

I had this problem too (iPhone 7). Followed several tips, but nothing worked until I did the following:
NOTE: you will lose some preferences settings (clock face, menu order, greeting), but goals and steps will remain just remember to sync before you do this. Also ensure notifications are turned on in fitbit, fitbit app, and iphone message settings.
1. Go into phone Bluetooth settings > click the “i” next to Charge 2 > Click forget this device
2. Go into the fitbit App > Account > Charge 2 > scroll to bottom and click “Remove This Charge 2”
3. Go back in the fitbit app > Account settings > click “+ Set Up a Device” > choose Charge 2 and follow on screen instructions.
