Charge 2 won't display text messages

Ever since I got my fitbit Charge 2, text messages have never displayed.  I can see that I have a text message, but not the message itself.  I never thought anything of it because I thought that was normal.  Today, I found out that my friend with the same kind of fitbit is able to read her text messages. I don't know what to do to fix it.  All of my notifications and permissions are enabled to receive them.  I also just upgraded my phone from the Samsung S7 to the S9+ and still doesn't work.  Thanks for your help.

Count me as another Charge 2 owner whose text messages no longer display even though I get notifications that they've arrived. I have a Pixel 2. Has Fitbit provided any recent update?

None that I'm aware of. It is very frustrating to say the least. Now mine
has stopped even letting me know a call/text is being received (again)

I know what you mean but these things aren't cheap! The most frustrating
thing is it used to work perfectly.

When I talked to Fitbit a couple of weeks ago, they acted like they didn't
even know about it. But yet it still doesn't work.

Mine doesnt work either. I had a note 8 and now own s10+. It must be my fitbit charger 2.

To be honest, I'm not even sure if Fitbit is aware of this issue. Sometime
this week I'm going try and connect with them.

They definitely are aware of it, but it would be great if you could remind them it still exists.

Mine started working yesterday hooray!  Didn't do anything, but there was an update and now I get a sleep score and noticed i can read my txts on my Charge.2.  Hope everyone else has success!

Not been able to read texts on my Charge 2 for some time now, and although all callers show it seems to register a different person to who's actually calling. 

I've tried all recommended fixes but none work. As last attempt today I've deleted app and re-installed and this seems to have solved problem. 

Might be worth a try!

Thanks. I just tried it and it made no difference. The "test call" works
but nothing else. ☹️
