Charge 2 won't hold charge/black screen

My fitbit charge 2 has been AMAZING for the past 2 years. But three days ago it stopped calculating my HR. Then within hours it died after being left to fully charge. I plugged it back in, thinking I had maybe not charged it correctly. It fully charged again, and then within a couple of hours it died and turned black. I left it to charge all night, and then after wearing it for a few hours yesterday it completely died again. But this time it won't charge, it won't even turn on. 

I went online and saw that this has been an issue for people. I tried pressing the button down for 10-15 seconds to let it turn off and reboot it, I've tried cleaning out the little hole in the back (which was already clean), I've tried numerous things, and it's not working. I don't know what to do now as it won't even turn on. It's completely dead and has been completely dead for 24 hours, plugged into the charger the entire time. 

What should I do? Do I need to just buy a new one? But why did this one die? I would hate to buy a new one and end up with the same results.

Thanks for your post. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors are flashing or is your device completely unresponsive? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Such article includes a restart process which can be really helpful for this situation

hi ricardo, is there a way where i can have my charge 2 battery replacement.

Mine just died after 3 good years of fitness tracking!

Just so sad.

There is a notification when i charge 'empty battery with a warning sign' that comes out.

The HR light is still functioning. I think it's just the battery.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Unfortunately, it's not possible to only replace the battery of your Charge 2, however, if you're experiencing difficulties with the charging process, can you please let me know if you already tried the troubleshooting steps from my previous post?

yes i did tried your troubleshooting steps and it still didn't work.

If i could just send you the picture of it. I have been charging it but it is still dead.
