Charge 2 won't pair to Samsung J2 Pro

Hi,

My Charge 2 and my Samsung J2 Pro were syncing correctly for around two months.  Then at the start of December they stopped syncing.  I have tried various things to fix it, but nothing has worked.  Today I removed the removed the Charge 2 from my Fitbit app (with the intention of repairing and then fixing the issue).  I am no unable to pair the Charge 2 to the Samsung J2 Pro.

I have placed my Charge 2 onto its charger and then tried to pair the Charge 2 with the Sumsung J2 Pro.  Initially the Charge 2 is detected and I am able to input the pin into the Fitbit app.  After some time I then receive an error "Bluetooth Issues.  If first time, press Cancel, otherwise press Restart Bluetooth".  We have tried both "Cancel" and "Restart Bluetooth" and neither of those options works.  Effectively the pairing times out.

How can I resolve this issue?  Thanks.

Is the device you are trying to sync to a supported device?

You can find a list of compatible trackers here and here.

@RH409 Welcome! It's nice to have you on board! Sorry to hear that you can't pair your Charge 2 with your J2 pro phone. As @SunsetRunner mentioned your phone doesn't show as compatible but that doesn’t mean it won’t work it just means that it hasn’t been tested by our team. You can try going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

Let me know how it goes!

Thanks for your reply, before I was able to try your solutions it was suggested to me by someone else that I should take my device off my Fitbit account and then put it back on.  My phone could find it when I was setting it up again and I was able to put the code from the device into my phone, but then the page kept on loading with nothing happening until the page timed out. I have attempted to put my device onto the app multiple times and the same thing keeps happening. Do you know how I can fix this new issue?
