Charge 2 won't pair to my desktop computer (Windows 10 + Bluetooth OK)

Got a Charge 2 for Xmas, went to fitbit com/setup and created account. Tried to pair the Charge 2 to my desktop computer (Windows 10 & Bluetooth 4) but the pairing fails. When I go to Bluetooth it finds the Charge 2 OK and is ready to pair but I get the failure message that the pairing hasn't worked as the device is not discoverable.

@AlvaroFitbit I think you need to read all the comments before commenting, it makes people more mad when suggestions made are so trivial that don't you think we have tried everything to make the fitbit sync to Windows 10?

It works on some machines it won't on others. Fitbit couldn't care less about this issue to be honest. I've said it many times, they sell so many that just a few people having sync problems isn't a concern for them.

There are so many companies out there providing fitness gadgets, the lesson just don't buy fitbit anymore.

Hello @Bitpissed I'm not sure what is ment by phone not synced with computer but it doesn't matter.

Is your tracker setup to your Fitbit account?

I'm not sure if you are having a sync or setup problem, if it is a sync problem, through what was the tracker first serup?

Do you sync only through the computer or also use a phone .

If using a phone, make sure that Fitbit can not talk to the phone when syncing through the computer, is: turn the bluetooth on the phone off if the phone is within 50 feet.

Are you having problems @Username345 and if so what may they be and at what step does the error occur?

Are you using a computer or phone, or do you use both?

If both is the phones bluetooth off when using the computer to sync?

@Rich_LauePerhaps you should read the whole thread. But essentially I have a Dell XPS 9570 laptop, tried to connect my fitbit charge 2 to it, it recognizes but won't pair it at all.

It does pair to my phone and some some older laptops that I have. I'm an IT professional and I know about pairing, distances, one door to bluetooth, all the 101 connecting situations.

I know you are trying to help and I appreciate it, but please don't tell me to do anything that resembles scripted tech support stuff. A few people in this thread and other threads are in similar positions where they are frustrated by turn it on and off type advice, or just use your phone etc

@mandbt I am having the same problem, I was just wondering if you've fixed the issue and if you can let me know how. Thanks!

Sorry, I upgraded to a Versa from the Charge 2.  I suggest you look at the last message before yours.  It has a link where you can contact the Fitbit Support Team for help.  There are so many variables it is difficult to advise an individual whose setup may be different than one's own.  Good luck.

I am having the same problem, but mine seems to say " Try connecting your device again." Even though it discovered it, it just will not connect whatsoever. Fitbits have very interesting behavior patterns.

It's seems painfully clear to me that FitBit sucks. I have dozens of bluetooth devices that I can pair with my desktop, but NOT my Charge 2.  I'm stuck using a silly dongle as my only alternative.  My wife has a Garmin Vivosmart and it pairs just fine.

I think it's laughable that FitBit's solution is to "use a dongle" and the old FitBit connect software.  It is the 21st century, correct???

If you have to factory reset 20 times, stand on your head, whistle dixie, count backwards from 50, and click the heels of your ruby slippers 3 times -- then I'm pretty sure you have a major engineering/design issue.  Why not just "fix it" instead of posting silly suggestions and cute remarks.

Until FitBit gets their act together, I guess I'm stuck using the dongle.  And my next watch won't be a FitBit.
