Charge 2 won't pair with Galaxy J3 after update

My Charge 2 paired with my new phone, Samsung Galaxy J3, until the phone needed updates. Fitbit told me my phone isn't compatible, and sure enough it's not on the list of compatible phones. Fitbit did replace my Charge 2 with a new one, but no luck.

Just saw on Steal and Deals on the Today show, I can get a Smartech watch that's compatible with ALL phones for $18. Any reason I shouldn't switch?

Welcome aboard @cunderwood! The Samsung Galaxy J3 is a compatible device so you should not have inconveniences to connect it with your Charge 2. But if so, please take a look at the tips in this help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? And let me know how it goes!

Let me ask you this, are you still experiencing syncing issues between your Charge 2 and your phone? Do you have the latest version of the Fitbit app installed?

Let me know how it goes!

It wasn't on the list when I checked a few weeks ago. It wont pair with my phones Bluetooth and it says updates are available but it wont update either.Totally frustrated with this thing!

Thanks for your reply @cunderwood! I understand. There are some phone models that were very recently added. Now, about the updates you mentioned, are you talking about phone's operation system updates or app update? Let me know so I can assist you better.

It's on the Fitbit app on my phone. It says Firmware update but I've tried multiple times. It attempts the update but always fails. I've restarted my phone and my Fitbit as well as uninstalled the app and installed it again. I've done these things multiple times.

@cunderwood, which operation system does your computer has? I mean, is it a Windows 10 computer or a previous Windows system? Or is it a Mac? I'm asking because if your computer has Fitbit connect installed, please follow the instructions in this help article to update it's firmware.
