Charge 2 won't pair with iPhone 6S

I got the first Charge 2 and it would never pair. Got a second one, and it worked like a champ (I used app on iPhone 6s) then recently lost phone and text notifications. Followed several numerous tips and still won't work. Get all kinds of messages, like bluetooth can't pair now, won't pair, says it is not paired and it really is. Finally numerous times I "forgot the device" and tried to start over and it gives me the pin and then never pairs, just like the first one I got. I am done...this one is going back too. I had a plain vanilla original Fitbit charge and wore it out and never had a problem. This version is junk. Hope to get my money back, just bought it at the first of the year.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Treelady! Thanks for already troubleshooting this inconvenience, nice way to go! I'll be more than glad to help, don't give up yet my friend. Got your back! Woman Very Happy

While reading the steps you've attempted, I was wondering if you removed the Charge 2 from your account only? If so, please go to the Bluetooth settings on your iPhone and remove the tracker from there as well.

Once you've made sure about that, go back to the Fitbit app, go to the "Account" option in the upper right corner and select "Set up a Device". This should start the setup process for your device.

If you can't get started with your Fitbit device, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements below:

  • Note that you can't set up your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth screen; you must open the Fitbit app and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • The Fitbit app needs to be updated
  • The software on your phone is up to date. To see if an update is waiting to be installed:
    • iOS—Tap Settings > General > Software Update.
  • The Bluetooth setting on your phone or tablet is on. To find it:
    • iOS—Tap Settings > Bluetooth.

If you're still unable to set up, try these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone; wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  2. Try setting up your device again.
  3. Restart your Charge 2 once again.
  4. Try setting up your device again.
  5. If you can't set up after a restart, reboot your phone or tablet (turn it off and then back on).
  6. Try setting up your device again.
  7. If you can't set up after the reboot, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app.

Hope to hear good news, I'll be around!

Sorry to her you are having problems too, because FItbit was absolutely no help. I basically lost my $$. They offered no replacement and no other solution, although They made it seem as though the problem was solved. Have been reading blogs and seems like a common problem. I bit the bullet and bought an Apple Watch. I cannot believe FitBit has basically ignored my problem. They have some software problem for sure. Hope they can help you. Best of luck!

Welcome on board @Sethro, it's nice to have a new member around! Sorry to hear you've been having inconveniences with your new Charge 2. Thanks for following the tips and recommendations provided.

While reading your post I was wondering if you were able to pair your Charge 2 to your iPhone? If not yet, can you please let me know if you're getting any error message on the Fitbit app or the tracker itself?

In the meantime, I'd suggest to check: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Looking forward to your reply.

Hello,

I have not been able to connect the Charge 2. There are definitely no error
messages. The phone simply doesn't find the device during the set up
process. I have followed all the troubleshooting tactics to no avail.

My phone connects with other BT devices, so it's not that, either.

The only new information on the link provided is to "forget" other BT
devices on my phone, which I will try, but I'm quite doubtful that will be
the difference.

Still quite disappointed.

My charge 2 won’t pair. I have turned off deleted and restarted both several times. Nope, no luck. It still won’t sync. No texts received.
