Could this also be why my fitbit is not holding the charge, I charge overnight and within 1/2hr of putting it on in the morning, fitbit is dead,

I also am having my Charge 2 discharging in between 9-10 hours. I recharge it but Fitbit has not synced without removing app and reinstalling Charge 2 App. However I lose all my data during this process, very frustrating. Looks like there are several other people with same sync problem with charge 2. I see some posts it was right after an update, I wonder if they have problems with their programming apps, and we are the result. Very dissatisfied., looking at other manufacturers of Health Watches. I have used Fitbit watches for many years, this is the second one, not a happy camper.

That is the conclusion I came to, if the phone is not on the list I linked to, you need to sell a lung/kidney. Unless the fitbit people fixes their app.
I have not had any trouble with syncing with my phone for almost a year, and then they released an update to the app and all stopped working, you dont have to be a genious to add 1+1.
I was thinking about getting the new charge 4, but if they completely ignore current customers I am not that keen on continuing with the fitbit brand.

That is pretty much the exact conversation I had with them on Twitter! My charge hr worked for 2yrs and still syncs and recognised I get the charge2 worked for 6 months ish and now nothing. Think I'm going to get a Garmin as I haven't heard any issues with them... Poor form Fitbit very poor!

UPDATE:
After leaving my fitbit on charge, resetting it over 30 times, reinstalling the app 3 times, and walking away from the whole thing for a day or so, I tried it today and it worked!

Ridiculous. I also found that giving a good distance between the phone and watch also helped, as I perceived. So the moral of the story is: Fitbit needs to do some work on their bluetooth 'handshaking'.... I dont have a clue why leaving it on the charger after getting downright frustrated, then coming back to it days later has resolved the issue...but who knows.

I installed the software on my MacBook Air, and it found the tracker without problems, so there is nothing wrong with the tracker, it is clearly an app issue on the phone.
This issue should be raised to the highest level.

Hi Phara-Key, and everyone else replying,
Is your phone/tablet/computer listed on the fitbit supported devices list, if not, they, fitbit support, will not assist you.
They tell you, Get our latest tracker and a supported device to pair it to. Which is poor customer management in my opinion.
Someone who is developing the app must have access to the required equipment, i.e tracker and phones, to be able to test if the updates are ready to go live, with more than 50 million downloads on google alone.

It seems fitbit really do not care about the customer they just want your money for the wrist band and then couldn't care less if the ap works! And the ppl that develop this stuff earn an absolute fortune... See why fitbit is so expensive to by for POOR QUALITY! SERIOUSLY GOING GARMIN or even a cheap tracker off amazon won't have this kind of rubbish going on.. Completely had enough now and will be putting all over social media and wherever else I can highly NOT RECOMMEND

My Charge synchronised at 1831 yesterday - 8th September, wont synch since.
Don’t want to delete app and reinstall as want data for medical reasons.

I tried reinstalling and everything, still had no luck, I ended up digging out a old kindle, my charge2 synced with that although it is 5yrs older than my phone, now the charge2 syncs with the phone.

I was offered 35% discount to get a new fitbit... That was never going to happen! Just want ppls money
