I recently changed from a iPhone 12 to an Andriod phone and I am unable to connect my Charge 2 through the Fitbit set up process. My phone is a Honor x6b running Android 14
1/ From the Fitbit app on my phone, I select the "watch & phone" icon in the top left hand corner of the screen
2/ Under the Add connections section at the bottom of the following screen I select "Add device"
3/ I select Charge 2 from the list of available devices and then press "Start setup"
4/ I agree to the terms, put the tracker in the charging port as advised by the animation on the screen and press "Continue"
5/ A get a green horizontal bar with a message saying "Searching for your Charge 2..."
6/ After a couple of minutes, it eventually comes up with a message saying something went wrong and I am invited to try again or exit
The phone is placed directly next to the tracker when I am attempting the set up.
I restarted my phone several times and have also turned Bluetooth on and off multiple times on that device but nothing appears to work
I have also tried to restart the Charge 2 by plugging the device in to the charging cable and holding down the button on the device for 4-6 seconds. It comes up with 22.58.00 on the display below the Fitbit logo so I presume the device has has restarted correctly.
I can see the Charge 2 as a Bluetooth device on my phone and can pair it manually, but it does not ask for any 4 digit code and nothing is stored in the app. I suspect the only way of getting it to work correctly is via the official set up process.
I have been using Fitbit trackers and storing data in the app for many years. It is very frustrating to suddenly be unable to store anything. Any thoughts would be most welcome
Thanks in advance
