For the last week my charge 2has refused to sync. The app is set to always connected and all day sync. I have reset the tracker several times in the charger. I have turned my phone on and off, turned the Bluetooth on and off, logged out and back into the app, force stopped the app and reopened. Nothing has worked. I get no error message so I'm assuming it can "see" the tracker.
What else can I do?

I finally got my fitbit (charge 2) to sync with my Windows 10 app, by disconnecting my fitbit from the computer's bluetooth, rebooting, opening the app/program, and then it a pop-up appeared asking if I wanted to approve the app connecting to my fitbit device (or something like that), I agreed & then it started syncing again. I found it did nothing if I disconnected then reconnected right away, whether or not I rebooted afterwards...and also didn't work if I connected my fitbit through the bluetooth after the above reboot before opening the app...

My one year old Charge 2 started being unreliable at syncing one week ago. I've tried everything these syncing issue conversations suggest many times and the fix never sticks. When attempting the unpair/pair procedure, at times my phone does not even fine the Charge 2 available. The phone has no issues connecting to my car and the Fitbit synced reliably for a year. I suspect either a hardware issue with the Charge 2 (after only one year) or an issue with the latest firmware. Which is it?

Hi, Charge 2 fam!
I have some troubleshooting suggestions for you all depending on the device you own.
Android: Currently, there is a known issue affecting a small number of Android users syncing with the last app update to 2.64. If you noticed your syncing issues began around the date 1/16, then you might be one of the users who was affected. I will provide updates on this issue in this thread here. Otherwise, please give our standard tips a try.
iOS/Windows 10: I suggest to first try a restart on the tracker and then also on your mobile device or computer. You can also turn on/off Bluetooth. In addition, it is important that your tracker have enough battery and is not running low. If you still are having trouble, you can "remove" the tracker from your Fitbit account and add it again as if you were setting it up as a new device.
Please let me know how it goes!

I was having the same problem. I turned my phone off for 10 minutes (which I rarely do) and my FitBit synced immediately after I turned my phone back on.

Thanks @Stilldreamin,
Option 2 worked, i.e. removing the tracker from the phone's Bluetooth. All other troubleshooting didn't work , I tried about everything.

I was given a fitbit recently and after experiencing all sorts of technical woes with it over the course of only two weeks, I returned it. I am frankly not impressed by this technology which is flawed and features many bugs/errors [I am a computer programmer and quite tech savvy]. I honestly do not know how this received as much attention as it did but as far as I know I am done with it. Bugs include, randomly stopping to sync and deleting random blocks of data on the dashboard, to name a few. Zero stars our of 5. Turning on/off the Bluetooth settings, restarting X, Y, Z. logging in/out of A, B, C etc should almost never happen on a good product. If you wish to exercise do it the good old fashion way; just go out a take a long walk/run -

I wonder why such a bad model got such great reviews and was able to out sell all other tracker models in the market.

As you may have guessed, I remain to wonder this as well. As far as tracking foot steps/distance etc, I find the "Health App" on the Iphone to be far superior. Glad you are enjoying the Fitbit to the point of elevating you to the grade of "Community Legend" - At the end of the day, I guess it is a matter of personal preference; de gustibus et coloribus non est disputandum -

My phone's Fitbit app got updated to Version 2.66 a couple days ago. My Charge 2 has synced successfully since then.

I've kept very quiet on this subject for a long time now...simply because I've enjoyed 14 months of trouble free use:-)

Other than one issue of my charge 2 not syncing to my Windows 10 app for a couple of days following a windows update (which started me following this thread). Knock on wood, it has work fine ever since. 🙂 So overall I am still pleased with my Xmas 2017 gift.
