Charge 2 won't turn on, won't sync and won't reset.

I've had my charge 2 for a few years now and all of a sudden the other day it turned off. At first it would still register as a device but wouldn't update to the new firmware. Then after resetting it and following steps from other posts it won't start up at all anymore. When plugged into the CPU it briefly shows the fitbit logo then turns off and is completely unresponsive. Help please

@KayiU Welcome to the Fitbit Community!

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not turning on and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Not sure if this is a display issue or a battery issue so I suggest you try cleaning the contacts using cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's USB port (try different ports) or use an UL-certified USB adapter. After this, restart your device again and see how it behaves. You can follow these instructions to help your device charge.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi there,

ive had the Fitbit Charge 2 for a few years and mine seems to be doing exactly the same - charged it on Tuesday and normally lasts a couple days but half way through today it just went off and wouldn’t come back on

i got home and placed the Fitbit on charge for an hour and it said full battery so took it off and within 5 mins it was saying the battery was completely empty so having to put it back on charge?

I was having the same issue and mine isn't more that . And like another person said, it went from being fully charged to battery dead in a matter of minutes. Mine seems to be working fine now so I'll share what I did.

First I just left it alone for about 3 days. Then I charged it using my laptop and let it charge for a couple of hours. It was showing an exclamation point so I restarted it by holding the button down and waiting for it to go away. I did have to reset it twice though. I'll update tomorrow if anything changes.

UPDATE So, my Charge 2 was working but for only a couple of days. I let it stay dead for a couple of days to maybe "give it a break", I guess and then recharged it. I was elated that the charge held for the day and no hiccups but when I went to put it on the next morning, it was again dead. I don't know what else to do.
