Charge 2 won't unpair from account despite no longer showing up in account settings.

My mother upgraded to a Charge 4 and I had been thinking about getting a Fitbit, so she suggested I try out her old Charge 2 to see how I like it before investing in a Charge 4 myself.

While setting up her Charge 4, we unpaired the Charge 2 with her account/device and while everything went smooth for her and she is currently using the Charge 4, the Charge 2 will not return to setup mode no matter how many times I reset it.

I've followed every tip and link I could find after searching for over an hour (most just suggest doing things I've already done), I've reset the Charge 2 at least 50 times and at least 8 times consecutively.  Have reset it with all sorts of configurations of phones and bluetooth off. It just keeps displaying my mother's stats from when she last took it off.

Any help is greatly appreciated. How do these things not have a factory reset?

All you need to do is set it up on your account. You do not need to take it back to set up mode.

Set up

When it sets up it will take over for you and your mos stats will not show on the device at all
