Hi

I have had my charge 2 for several years, had a battery low message yesterday so plugged it into the charger this morning checked it was properly plugged into the charge unit, pressed the side button and saw the battery charge symbol so assumed all was fine, went back to put it on several hours later and the screen is blank, the green lights are on on the back of the unit but not flashing.  Tried resetting several times got a vibration once and the logo appeared then nothing, plugged into my Mac and can see the charge icon on the top of the screen, it shows me battery is on red and that it last Synced yesterday evening around 8pm.  Not sure what to try now as I can't reset it, can't charge it, can't do anything with it !!  Any advice gratefully received.

I experienced a similar issue 2 days ago when my fitbit charge 2 went blank.  I charged the device and ensured it came to full charge, however it went blank after few minutes of removing from the charger!

Oh dear, if you manage to get it working can you post how on my original post please? Mine isn’t charging at all but the green lights in the back are still on but not flashing like they usually do, I can’t think what to try as it won’t reset and is completely unresponsive - I have it plugged into my computer just in case it comes back to life😣

Same problem. Started on August 1. Charge, good for about 3 hours, then runs out of charge. I reset today and now lasting longer (now at 6 hours) , but it still dropped to 27% charge. I've had this fitbit for about 3 years and love it, but I won't buy another if this can't be fixed. My first fitbit fell apart after one year, and Costco very nicely took it back, but now that it's been 3 years, I doubt they will take it back.

Same happened to me too. Stopped syncing steps. Charged again, then went again, flat within hours??

Hi - thanks for the responses, I have an update.

I gave up trying to get it to work and left it alone for a few days, then thought I would give it one more try so put it back onto charge and low and behold I got the battery icon and it charged up no problem, however it had the wrong date and time on it so I tried to sync it to my phone but it wouldn’t sync so I followed the advice online ie toggle Bluetooth on/off, forget this device etc but still it wouldn’t sync so I went into the Fitbit app and hit the forget device and then set it up as a new device and hey presto it’s all working, syncing with phone and ipad, corrrect time etc, it even remember all my data.

I have no idea why or how it suddenly decided it would charge the battery but I am glad it did the moral of this tale is dont throw your fitbit away until you have exhausted all options and keep perseveringly. I only hope it doesn’t last just a few days like some of you have said has happened to you, if it does I will post an update. I am definitely not going to let the battery get completely depleted again though as that seems to have been the catalyst for the problems I experienced.

My watch started to do this exact same thing yesterday. Homefully like yours it will start acting normal bt it seems like this happens to a lot of people who have owned it for roughly 2 years.

When on charge... Hold button down for at least 4 secs. Once restarts, Take off charge. Should be fine
