My wristband fell off my Charge 2, . Wristband will not stay on now. This is the second wristband this happened to. What’s up with this? Anybody else having problems like this?

I myself never had a problem and I switch them out a lot
You need to make sure it clicks in. You can hear it. Its not loud but I listen for it

It just doesn’t click in. It doesn’t appear to be broken. Do you have to push down on the bar to put it back in like you do to remove the wristband?

After about 8 months of use the wrist band (the part with the slots in it) on my Charge 2 fell off. It clicks when I put it on, and then immediately falls off. Do you know if this is covered by warranty?

This band was a replacement for another plum band that was purchased March 2018. The warrenty is 1 year. So yes to answer your question. I spoke with Fitbit today, my new band was shipped today. Weird that 2 plum bands have broken
thank you

Thank you for the feedback. My band is blue, though I don't believe the color is significant. The very thin plastic piece at the attachment point is the weak link in the design. It is not a matter of if it will fail there, but when it will. Somewhat thicker plastic or a thin metal piece would probably solve the breakage problem.
I just received a response from Fitbit customer service requesting photos, date of shipment, etc. I expect they will send a new band since the unit was shipped in January 2018.

@DarleneS @MarvH Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community! Sorry to hear about your band falling off. If you don't see any damage on the band itself you can try pulling the metal tab to the outside. This will help it better secure the tracker. Still happy to hear that Support replaced yours @DarleneS. What did support tell you @MarvH? @WendyB thank you for your input here.
I look forward to your reply!

I have had to replace the band 4 times already. As previously noted, there appears to be a design flaw. The rubber right at the metal clip is the weak point. I did contact customer service and have been refused a new band as they feel warranty is over. (Even though the band is only 3 months old). This is very disappointing as the problem is clearly design, not abuse. Each band lasted only 3-4 months. I also see that the new fitbits have bands the same style and material. Very disappointing and I can not justify upgrading if the problem is not addressed or solved.

Darlene - This is a continuing problem with my Charge 2. As someone already explained, the little black plastic c-shaped clip is a weak design and fails, not allowing band to click in properly. I have had one band replaced under warranty, but now that it's past, I just purchase cheap bands on Amazon and stay cognizant that I might lose the Charge 2 if I don't keep checking its band's connection..

Small plastic! edges break away and hence will not stay in place. Solution, buy another band $49 approx. Aust $. On my third band in 12 months, poor design/quality

I appreciate your taking time to reply, but I do not believe you understand what I said about why the band broke. All of the metal portion is fine. It is the very thin plastic piece pressed into the rubber that touches the Fitbit unit that cracked. It is the only stabilizing item and takes any torque or misalignment between the band and the unit. As I said previously it is not if a break will occur there (it surely will) but when it will.

I have replaced my wrist band as has my wife. Today her band broke and this time she lost the device. Very discouraging. We are thinking about purchasing a similar device from a competitive manufacturer. It’s too bad because we love everything else about the product.

2nd band for me and the same thing! Super glue! Holding tight, so far. Not buying another band!
