Charge 2 wristband constantly detaches

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have nearly lost my watch 3 times now. The band constantly teaches form the watch face. I have tried 2 other bands. From this forum it is clear that it is a design fault. My watch is 6 months out of warranty, surely it's recognised as a design fault so the warranty shouldn't be imposed and the watch should be replaced?

I'm having the same problem - band detaches from watch face. How long is the warranty? Do I return it to the Store I purchased from or is there a direct line or address for Fitbit?

I’ve had it less than a year and and can’t get it to stay. I followed the instructions given to another customer but had no good results. What do I do now? Thanks!

My wife has the same problem -- her wristband detaches several times each week. Would replacing the band solve the problem? If so, will a Charge 3 band work on a Charge 2?

after i posted this, i went straight onto the online help chat with fitbit. within 20 minutes they sorted it, even WITHOUT my original receipt. I had to send them a video clip showing my strap detaching. they helped me every step of the way. they are going to replace my whole fitbit and strap, i have to return the old one (they have even given me a postage label so I dont have to pay for it) and I will have my new fitbit in 10 days or so, mailed out to me. i have to say I was amazed at the level of service. I WAS strong with them at the beginning when they said it was damage, i kept firmly but nicley repeating, 'no, it isnt damage, its a faulty strap' good luck!!

I am sorry to say that I can tell you with proof that the fitbit charge 2 can not use the fitbit charge 3's straps because I have a fitbit charge 2 and my big sister has a fitbit charge 3 and we can't use the same straps as each other the ends where they attach are completely different.

I had 2 wristbands replaced by the Fitbit cause the warranty was still on.

1 bought 2 other cause the warranty was over. So all together, 4 wristbands since 2 years and a half... the actual one is breaking loose just looking at it.

This design is total crap.

4 wristbands is as much as the value of the Charge 2 here in Canada.

Am I going to get a 5th one? No Way! I am done with it.

How do you handle this problem with the company?  I was lucky enough to be able to return my first one to the store for a new one...now the second one is losing the band (and also has a cracked screen).  Will they mail a new band?
