I've had a Charge 2 for probably 3 years now. I've gone through a couple of bands and the most recent one was an official replacement from Fitbit that I only started using in October and it's already broken. The point of failure is the little plastic tabs that slide behind the metal part of the tracker itself. I'm wondering if many others have had this issue and what they've done about it but also curious if anyone can say that the band design of the Charge 3 or even 4 has improved? It's a bad design decision to have little plastic nubs be responsible for holding the band to the tracker.

@barthooper Thanks for stopping by! Sorry for the delay in my reply.
Let me help you with your Charge 2 band breaking. Thank you for the feedback about the wristband designs. Fitbit products are made to last but there are many variable that we don't know. Still I suggest you let our Support team know so they can further assist you. I noticed that you already have a ticket with them so keep working with the team to find a solution.
Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for replying.
Support has sent me another band free that is arriving tomorrow and in the meantime I've hot glued it. So I have some time to decide on where to go next as the tracker itself still works fine.
I have learned from checking out band changing videos that the 3/4 have improved the design so I am happy about that.

I, too, have had my charge 2 since June 2018. Not even 2 years old and the band broke. I can't even find a price on the website for a replacement. My first HR was wonderful. band never broke. This is disheartening that the quality is this bad. I chatted with customer support and all they said was to purchase a new one and sent me the link. I could not find a price. I think I'm going to an Apple device.

I had one that broke within months so when i noticed this was a common problem with the fitbit ones i purchased a non fitbit one that is compatible from Amazon. Much better made and hasn't broken.

Interesting. Yeah I agree that's not very fair. When I purchased my last replacement it was September and they were available via the site. Prior to that I had one from a third party seller on Amazon. I guess the only option going forward to get a replacement one that is made by Fitbit is to go through support as it seems unlikely to return to their site after already being removed.
