Charge 3 Alarm goes off without being set

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Two days in a row, an alarm has gone off on my Charge 3 at 6:45AM. The problem is I never set this alarm, and when I go into the alarm settings, there isn't one there that matches this time.

How can I prevent this from happening again?

Hello @mimmyu. It's nice to see you around.

Thank you for the detailed information. This is very interesting. At this time, I recommend performing a restart to your Charge 3. For this, please follow the steps here: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If that doesn't help, please perform a long restart by following the instructions below:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Also, if you have any other alarms activated, please try to remove them and set them one more time to see if that refreshes the performance of your Charge 3.

Hope this helps.

I thought this was resolved after following the steps above, but it happened again this morning with the same alarm at 6:45AM.

I restarted the Fitbit again, but instead of the 6:45 alarm appearing in the list, a long-deleted 10pm alarm was listed. I deleted it, and the list of alarms was empty.

I checked the list again just now, 10 hours later, and the 6:45 alarm finally showed up out of nowhere. Hopefully it stays deleted this time.

@mimmyu Thank you for your reply.

I appreciate your help in following the suggested tips and thanks for the rest of troubleshooting steps you tried. At this time, I recommend keeping an eye on the behavior of your Charge 3 and let me know if this happens again.

I look forward to your response.

I’m having a similar issue. I set a non repeating alarm for 6:30AM a few weeks ago. Now the alarm shows dimmed on my Charge 3, and when I inspect that alarm, it shows “Alarm Off”. But sitting here at 6:30AM it just buzzed again. I will try the long reset procedure above.

I am not able to do the long reset steps above. Holding the button while connected to the charger just seems to reset the device normally. It shows the smiley face but no vibrations or battery.
