Charge 3 Battery won't charge above 5% after the update

Charge 3 won't recharge after going very low while downloading an update. Have tried usual fixes including cleaning charging cable, using different charger, reboot, reset etc. Charges up to about 5% then goes low again but needs to be 50% to finish update.

Hello @SunsetRunner. Welcome to the community forums!

Thank you for the detailed information and for the steps you've followed. At this time, I was able to see that you have followed most of the steps from the following links: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging? And How do I charge my Fitbit device?

Since the inconvenience has persisted, I recommend following one more step (this is in case you haven't done this before) and this is a long restart. A long restart is different than the basic restart and you can perform it by following the instructions here:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

In addition, take into consideration the instructions from this help article: Why can't I update my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.
