Charge 3 - Black line across top of screen

My watch shows a small black line across the screen at the top, where the step count is on some faces and where the battery sign is when you open the stats.

 

tried resetting multiple times, doesn’t work.

Thanks for your reply . So what do we do ? May someone from the company answer us ? It must be a glitch or a defect which needs rectification ?

Yes it's a defect that the company have apparently done nothing to fix *sigh* .  Looking back on this forum I see that nobody from Fitbit has posted since March so it looks like it isn't currently being monitored; your best bet is to contact support direct.  Best of luck!

I have had 2 with the same problem. My original and a replacements with the same problem and my daughters did the same. Now they won't replacement only offered 25% off a new one. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

Hello, I bought my Fitbit charge 3 from bestbuy this past Black Friday. It has recently in the last two weeks been having the black lines on the screen. It started with one, then two, and when it got to three I found this page and tried the solutions of changing the screen and restarting it completely. Now there are 7 noticeable black lines and several smaller gray ones. It seems like every day there is a new line. Please let me know what can be done to fix this.

Try calling them. I know they are under a ,ot of pressure at the minute in term of calls coming in and reduced staffing, but I managed to call today and get my issue (black lines horizontally over screen and white / grey "ghosting" vertically) sorted to my satisfaction.

 

Not sure they are prioritising the forum at the minute.

Really not happy to report that I also have this issue with the black horizontal lines across the screen plus my battery life dramatically dropped - it drains out completely for less than 24 hours after full charge. 

 

I got charge hr, charge 2 - their main issue were the wristbands, I have never experienced any issues with the gadget itself. Seems not like that with charge 3 - unreliable battery life plus these annoying black lines across the screen is really frustrating.

 

Any idea how to get that fixed or claim replacement/refund instead? It is used less than 10 months.

This happened to mine as well. Started to get black lines on the top of the screen yesterday evening. Then it went to a solid black line on top an hour later and now the screen is dead. I have restarted it and have tried to change the screen. I get a notice that it can't detect my fitbit when I try to change the screen now. It still vibrates when pressing the side button. The screen will not turn on when plugged in to charge. I love my fitbit and hope I can get a replacement.

Update: Had a live chat with customer service. My replacement device is on its way to my location. Happy end.

My Charge 3 has so many black lines across the screen I can barely read anything on it. I’ve had mine since Christmas and I am soooooo frustrated with trying to find customer service. This has been going on and getting worse for about the last 4 weeks. Please help. Thank you! .

Just found out that I have also got a black line across my fitbit charge 3 screen. Noticed it in the last day or so.

What should I do?

I've tried rebooting it, change clock face and nothing works. 

I don't a a replacement guarantee anymore on it as it's been replace twice from Very.com. They said that this is my last one.

have you contacted fitbit customer support through the help chat? That’s really awful that your having this problem after already receiving two replacements.

I just finished a lengthy chat with customer service about the lines on my Charge3. Customer service representatives name was Kai. She was very nice and patient. My replacement is on the way.

Hi

 

I’m having the same issue (again), customer service sent me a new display face in Oct 2019 but now have lines on the replacement. Also, the wrist strap seems to be showing breakage/splits at the bend. I always keep the strap clean and dry. Can someone assist please?

I'm also getting black lines across my fit bit charge 3 tried rebooting and restarting. Changed clock face but a few more l8nes have appeared
