Charge 3 - Black line across top of screen

My watch shows a small black line across the screen at the top, where the step count is on some faces and where the battery sign is when you open the stats.

 

tried resetting multiple times, doesn’t work.

Updated. The device Fitbit sent as a replacement lasted only 4 months. The battery is OK but the screen is dead. 
Well,  I think I had enough. Definitely will not recommend this brand to anyone nor buy anything else from them. 


Who needs weather app or payments if the screen is blackened, blurred or dead? Before selling device with such features make it last for at least 2 years.

If the screen is completely blank a long reset
might actually work, it has for me - about the only time doing
that made any difference!

DuracellDave, already tried that several times. It does not work. Anyway, thank you for the suggestion and the reply.

 

This is how the screen looks like right now. I really doubt the restart “fix” will do the trick. For me the screen is defective. Reading reviews and comments from other customers and from various sources confirms that this is not just bad luck that happened to me with two devices in less than a year.

Just tonight, after a month of a single line across the top of the screen, my screen decided not to turn on. A Google search led me to reset instructions. It worked... But not even 10 minutes later, the screen is black again. I have had this Fitbit for a year and a half and if this is the life length of the product, I'm done.

That may be the case, but as of a few days ago, my entire screen is now black.

Hard resets make it work for 2 minutes then it's black again. I had nothing to lose so I updated the tracker but the problem still remains. It's now dead in a drawer and I've purchased another brand.

I've been having the same problem and it's getting annoying now because the lines restrict me from reading my messages on the screen 😒

I had a replacement sent for my charge 3 in July, 2020. The black lines started appearing around Christmas. It was originally just one. Now there are about a dozen or so. In just 6 months, I was having the problem. I've had a Fitbit for at least 5 years, but it looks like my next tracker is going to be with a different company.

Myself and my husband both have a charge3 and they now both have black lines going through screen. 

Do you know if fitbit have a fix for this.

 

Is there a fix for the black line across the screen seems like alot of people have the same issue.

Hi, I live in Germany and my 1 yr old charge 3 has stripes on its display, too. I have tried everything and they don’t go away. Plus, the display is getting darker and darker. I can‘t See anything when I‘m outside.

And since a Couple of days, the app does not work at all. Calories won’t add up, and many more issues. I’m so frustrated!  I wanted to upgrade to Versa, but now I doubt it is a clever idea. So disappointing .

Unfortunately  I am having the same problem. I also see on the community  that alot of people have the same problem and this has been going on for some years. I will never buy another  fitbit,  I brought a much cheaper  excersize watch once before and had it for 5 years and only replaced it as I had the fitbit as a present. I have  already returned this unit once  under warranty as it had a problem  where screen  went blank and now  a problem with the lines.  All I can say is fitbit gey your act together.Sent from my Galaxy
