Hello Fitbit Community!
I am now regrettably in possession of two Charge 3's, bought less than a week apart that "went dark" within 24 hours of unboxing & easily (compared to previous models) pairing/synching them with my iPhone 5s. This gift was meant to replace my current HR Charge. But sadly, it has not gone well. Initially, they behave normally. However, both Charge 3 screen's became unresponsive with over 40% battery life remaining. The screens do not respond to swiping, button pushing, charging and cannot be reset. I have had many Fitbit products in my life since 2015 and never has this poor of a performance. After all, I was so confident that the first Charge 3's issue was a fluke, I quickly bought another. Clearly a mistake as I have not fared any better with numero dos. What to do?

Hello @SantiR,
Working through the support case you kindly setup, spoke to FitBit over the phone 11.9.18 and we instituted a newly available update. It seems to have done the trick. We are on day 9 (on one full battery, BTW!) without any issue. I am so glad. I was just about to return it too. Thank you for your help.

Hi, there,
I seem to have the same issue with my Charge 3.....completely black, will not charge, does not vibrate when the battery clicks on the charger, will not respond to the reset button being pressed. What do I do?

Welcome on board @ShelleyL1114! Sorry to hear about the inconveniences you've been having with your Charge 3.
You can try the following steps to restart your tracker:
If the restart doesn't work, I'd recommend leaving your tracker charging around 2 hours to make sure it's fully charged, then you can try a restart once again.
Give this a go and let me know the outcome!

I have the exact same issue with my charge 3 that is only 2 weeks old. I forgot to put it on yesterday morning and when I went to put it on this morning, it was unresponsive; won’t charge, vibrate, nothing. Where’s the update Grimm62 says worked for him?

Hi - Unfortunately my Fitbit suddenly went dark today. I’ve never worn it swimming. I was just trying to change the menu to set it to start using the elliptical. I have tried the soft reset and I’m getting no joy ... and my phone cannot connect to it. Please help, thanks in anticipation, Chris

Charge 3 started freaking out last night. Rebooted itself to smiley face, then wouldn't work and vibrated intermittently until it died. I charged it this morning and it seemed fine today. Then it freaked out again this evening while I vacuumed my car - screen stopped working and it just vibrated until it died. I've tried the reboot and restart - nothing. Now it won't even recognize being on the charger and can't be found by my bluetooth.
Now what?

Same problem as many on here, but I cannot find the solution. Fitbit Charge3 screen is very dim- cannot see the display. I have reset the device multiple times and nothing has improved. Anyone know the fix? Thank you.

I was in touch with Fitbit customer service who very kindly agreed to replace my Fitbit after the crazy buzzing and unresponsive episodes. It should be in the mail now they said. 😀👍

Ultimately I chatted with Customer Service. My fitbit was still under warranty, and without much fuss at all, they shipped out a replacement. The new one works well so far.
