Charge 3 Bluetooth Pairing failing for notifications

I’ve noticed a few days ago I wasn’t getting notifications on my watch. I’ve tried to sync and get the message they the Bluetooth needs to be paired, when I try to pair it says it’s unable to pair. I’ve removed the device from the app, I’ve rebooted the device, and readded the device but still get the same issue.

Welcome to the Community Forums @Siaba81@Purp, and @tkaste! Thanks for reporting your Charge 3's behavior. I appreciate you've taken the time to try troubleshooting this issue.

I had a similar inconvenience with my iPhone and my Charge 3 a week ago. I tried the following and it worked:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app
  3. Tap on Account > Charge 3> Notifications
  4. When a pop-up with a "Bluetooth Pairing Required" message, tap on Set Up and continue.
  5. A new "Bluetooth Pairing Request" will appear, tap on Pair to continue
  6. Once in the Notifications menu, enable the ones you'd like to receive.
  7. Go to your phone Settings > Notifications > Fitbit and make sure the following is enabled:
    • Allow Notifications
    • Show on Lock Screen
    • Show in History/Notification Center

Give this a go and let me know if the steps worked. Smiley Wink

Mine won’t let me Forget the device.  Get a message “Connection Unsuccessful, make sure Charge 3 is turned on and in range.  Doesn’t seem to have a problem on my iPad, just iPhone 8+.
