Hey! Well, searching through the forums it appears like I’m not the only one with this issue.
I have just got a Charge 3 for Xmas, replacing a Surge, paired with an iPhone 6s. Everything seems to be working ok apart from the Bluetooth connection. When the watch is initially set up it works fine, I get notifications.
However, after a few hours or after I have connected to my in car kit, the Bluetooth connection between phone & watch appears to be lost, i no longer receive notifications & I can no longer access the notification menu on the app or select all day sync. When I try to access it I am told I need to pair my phone to the watch before I can use this feature! When I try to set it up I will receive a warning after 5ish minutes informing me the Bluetooth set up has failed! If I go into my phone Bluetooth settings it tells me I have a connection to the watch, but the app disagrees!
The only way way I can get the notifications working again is if I forget the Bluetooth connection on my phone, forget the Charge 3, uninstall the app & start all over again! This will make the notifications work again, but only for a few hours or until it receives another Bluetooth connection.
To say it’s a pain is an understatement, I have seen people saying it could be down to multiple Bluetooth connections, which strikes me as odd, why can’t this watch & phone handle multiple connections? I only have the one Fitbit synced to the one phone.
I’m not an expert in Bluetooth or Fitbit technology but it seems like the Bluetooth is turning off, for some reason, & the only way to turn it back on is to put the watch back into set up mode! Is there a menu on the Fitbit to physically turn Bluetooth off & on or put it into pair mode?
Come on Fitbit, I want to keep & use the Charge 3, but this issue is frustrating, my Surge worked a lot better than this! Is it time to return the Charge 3 & return to the Surge?

Missed my Apple watch series 1 too however it had a dreadful battery life.
I wear my Inspire HR to bed to track sleep so I need something more comfortable with longer battery life.
It's a shame about Fitibt's poor reliability, lucky I stumbled across this thread as I was going to buy another version of Fitbit.

I am using a brand new iPhone XR and have this same issue. All is updated and the Fitbit is 3 weeks old. It will not sync and then hours later it will. When I wear my cordless Bluetooth headphones I have to forget the fitbit device as every 15 to 30 seconds it says "Bluetooth disconnected" "Bluetooth connected" through the headphones telling me that the Fitbit is drooping and then reconnecting. I have yet to refresh the fitbit app and have it do it successfully with this phone. I have issues, but not as bad with my iPad and older iPhone 7.
Thus far I am very disappointed with Fitbit and wished I had done more shopping around for a tracker.

Hello, don’t know if this will help but it worked so far for me. Mine would not stay synced with phone. Went into Fitbit settings and turned on all day sync and so far it’s not disconnecting its self.

Mine has always been set to all day syncing. I just mailed mine for the 2nd time to Square Trade for repair. All they do is reset & reinstall which is what I have done. I guess I’m glad I bought insurance with this piece of junk.

I have three different devices and it does the same on all three. I can do all you show above and it still does not work.

I learned this after some time in ANDROID we have option of Battery Optimisation mode.
In this you may need to remove Bluetooth and Fitbit App both.
Goto >> Battery>> Usage>>three dots>optimise>all apps deselect fitbit and blutetooth
It should I deserve a free fitbit from fitbit company after solving this issue without any penny

This new Charge 4 is a piece of crap. I have only had this watch for a few weeks. It continually keeps dropping blue tooth and making me disconnect and start over from the beginning. Every single day. I never had this with my Alta HR EVER. Open to suggestions before I ship this back for my cash back.

Since the latest update, my Charge 3 will not stay paired with my iPhone 11 Pro and I cannot find the silent alarms.
