Charge 3 Change wristband

I am having an issue with my charge 3. My wristband broke so I bought a new one to replace it but the button you press to release the wrist band doesn’t work.

It’s completely numb and can’t be moved at all.

One side works as it should but not the other side.

I brought it into the shop where I bought it and they said to contact fitbit because they are not allowed to try and fix it.
