Charge 3 Charging issue/Cable not working?

I've had my Charge 3 just over a week.  When I got it, it charged right up just fine.  Now the battery is about to die and it doesn't want to charge.  It seems like the cable isn't connecting or recognizing it. No notification of a charge comes on screen.  It doesn't vibrate when the clip connects.  I've quadrupled checked the alignment of the pins and it doesn't seem to be dirty.  I've also tried different ports on my computer, my boyfriend's computer,  and a pocket charger, but nothing.  I keep trying to restart it, but it seems like it it won't even restart unless its plugged into power, which I can't get it to do.  Any idea? Is it a dud?

Found the number in the app and called.  Mine fitbit won't restart like they suggested so someone is contacting me within 48 hours and most likely replacing it for me.

Hi there, I am emailing about the below issue that user HolliM has had with her firbit charge, I am currently having the exact same issue, can you tell me how his can be resolved or weather it is faulty ? I have had it since the 1st of December

Never got charger working , but lucky enough to get replacement fitbit 3 from where I’d purchased , so all good to go.
This seems to be a common problem though.

Hi. My charge3 has just stopped charging. I went and bought another charger today, and still nothing but a smiley face and a couple vibrations.

My Charge 3 is totally dead and it will not charge at all !!

 

I did everything else what can I do next ? Bring it back to the store I bought it from ? I'm not happy !!!

Yes. Take it back to the store or contact customer service (the number is in your app) they replaced mine. Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

I have the same issue. Brand new charge 3, charged first time but now won’t charge at all. I have tried many different ports and devices and at times it will start to charge but then after a minute or so it stops. I believe there may be something wrong with the cable. Is it possible to get a new one?

Amazon has cables for a reasonable price. Try resetting your Fitbit (if it isn't totally dead) plugin the charger, put the Fitbit in the charger and hold down the button until you see a smiley face. If that doesn't work, or the fitbit is completely dead, try changing the clock face option in the app and then charging. If still a no go, try a new charger or borrow a friend's.If all those don't work. Contact customer service. The number is in the app. They had to replace mine. Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I tried everything you mentioned and no luck. I’m not sure how to get the smilie face. I hold the side button but eventually the screen just turns off.

I don’t know anyone with a charge 3 unfortunately so I cannot borrow a cable to check.

The Smiley face thing never worked for me either. It just shut off. Might
be time to contact customer service. They were very helpful. And I got a
replacement rather fast.

Hi,

I returned my Charge 3 within four days of buying. And now I'm scared of
buying another one. I think even Versa has a very similar cable.
It's an expensive gadget and I think I'll buy it once Fitbit resolves such
petty issues.

I have had my Fitbit charge 3 since January and all of a sudden it stopped charging. Tried all the remedies that everyone else has tried and still no luck can you help!!!!

I had to engage with customer service. They did some troubleshooting before determining I needed a new Fitbit. Customer service  number is in the app.

I'm having the same issue. I tried numerous usb ports and have cleaned and checked the connection. I've had the charge 3 for about 3 weeks and it's charged fine until now.

Must be a bad batch of cables or something. Mine has gone bad as well.
