Has the screen dimmed after an update or something? It used to be bad, now it's almost useless.
Normal is ok if I cup my hand over it.
Auto works, but is still really dim in bright light.
Dim is non-existent.
It didn't used to be like this. Been horrible for a few weeks.

That would be OK - except the issue is the display is SO dim that you can’t see the screen and therefore unable to select ANY option !!!

My Charge 3 has also dimmed down considerably from when it was first received.
It was almost too bright, and has gradually dimmed. Some pixels are a little brighter than others like screen burn.
If this is OLED they do dim down over time, but this seems odd that all the pixels are much dimmer than new.

Thank you so much. Somehow my FitBit changed to Dim. I had tried all the resets, clock face changes, suggested and nothing. It was bright with the smiley face reset and then went dim. Works fine now.

Didn’t work for me. I have been a Fitbit user for 4 years now and all has been ok up to now.
The face off my Charge 3 which I’ve had for just over 1 year after changing from Charge 2, had just decided to fade to almost nothing and various fixes I have tried from reading through the forum have not worked. What a disappointment and no help from Fitbit!! With the number of people coming forward with the same problem there is definitely something wrong and no help from Fitbit which is just not good business because I for 1, instead of staying with Fitbit will move on to one of a number of other trackers and shall be recommending the same to the rest of my exercise community.

Someone told me fit bibs is replacing some so you may want to get in touch with them
--------------------------
Swipe clock face to left 4x that brings you to brightness so when you tap that out see dim , normal and manual just by tapping . Keep it normal.

Same problem. When wanting to check time while outside during the day, the light outside is too strong to be able to read the watch. The wonderful world of digital devices.

Can you add me to the list? I have restarted several times and still to dim to read. I would like to check settings, but cannot read the screen. Please help!

Thanks, it worked for me, but was so dim, I wasn't even sure I was on settings, but kept clicking and finally got it changed back to normal. Way better!

Thank you, I couldn't read the screen good enough to know what I was in, but kept clicking different things and now it is bright again and at normal. What would have made it go to dim?

Count me in as one whose Charge 3 dimmed after the last update. My wife's was unaffected, but mine is unreadable. Tried all the suggestions. None worked.
