Charge 3 Displaying black lines across top of device

My husband purchased my Fitbit Charge 3 in February 2020 and I've been really happy with it until the last 2 weeks. I first noticed one black line across the top of the device but a few days ago this increased to 3 lines. I have looked for help on the forum and have rebooted both the fitbit and the system it's connected to several times. I've also changed the clock face and that didn't make a different either. Nothing seems to get rid of the black lines. I'm really upset as it's only 9 months old and I've purposefully looked after it. Can anyone offer any solutions?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Sezza2u.

I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Charge 3 is displaying black lines across the screen. Thank you for the information provided and for trying to resolve the issue before contacting us.

In addition to the regular restart and changing the clock face, you can perform a long restart by following these steps:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.
