I have a Google Pixel 3 and a Fitbit charge 3. When I would click on exercise, run on my Fitbit it would automatically connect to the GPS on my phone and track my run. It has been working great all year except for the last two weeks.
Now when I click on exercise, run on my Fitbit the only way it connects to GPS on my phone is if I have Fitbit app open. Once I lock my phone it disconnects. This is extremely frustrating since it has worked perfectly in the past.
I have deleted the Fitbit app, repaired my Fitbit to my phone, and rebooted both. Sounds like a lot of people are having the same exact issue with no resolution. Hoping for any insights.
Edit: It looks like the location permission was set to 'only when using the app' vs 'all the time'. Once I changed it back to 'all the time' it started to work... So far
