Charge 3 GPS not accurately tracking route or distance

Hi there, the GPS on my Charge3 doesn't accurately record my activity. Most of the time the GPS on my Charge3 can't connect so I run or walk without the GPS function but when it does connect, it doesn't reflect the route and shows only a linear record. It also usually records a shorter distance. I have reset my watch, reloaded the app and followed any other advice provided in the forums to try to get my watch to work as the product it is supposed to be. In the last year I've used a Motorola and an OPPO and I've had issues using Fitbit on both mobiles. Please can you advise on how I can get my Charge3 to accurately record distance and route?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @LP_Ch3_gps.

Thanks for the details shared in your post and for already trying to resolve the issue. I understand how you are feeling about this situation and appreciate your feedback. Our team is always working on improving our devices and user experiences, and your comments are always welcome. I recommend making sure your Fitbit app is updated to the latest version as updates come with new features and bug fixes: How do I update the Fitbit app?

Please also confirm if you've tried the following:

1. Force quit, and reopen the Fitbit app to refresh the connection with your device.
2. On your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and back on.
3. Restart your phone.

Hope this helps!

Thank-you for all of the advice.

I updated the app version last week and it tracked a slow run but out on a walk today the GPS only tracked part of the walk - less than half.

Ihave also done the other turning off and on procedures with the app and Bluetooth but I don't think I should have to do this every time I want to use my watch as a tracker.

Could there be a fault with the watch? Are there any checks can be done remotely to see ? Thanks.
