Charge 3 HR monitoring stopped working when I did the reset to try and fix the screen

Hi, I have been a huge Fitbit fan for years. Even got my parents Fitbits. I am very frustrated with the Charge 3. Bought it in July 2020, had an issue in Feb 2021 and it was replaced. Less than a year of having this one, I experienced the dimness that many others seem to be experiencing. When I called in for help, the reset actually made my HR monitor stop working. However, I'm out of warranty, and so I was offered a discount to purchase another fitbit (but the upgraded version of this model...the charge 5 is excluded). Any tips on how to get the HR monitor to start working again? I was really expecting this fitness tracker to last longer than it has.

Check in 'Settings' that you have 'Heart Rate' turned on.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
