Charge 3: Not receiving text message notifications on Samsung S10

Hi all,

Up until today, I've had no problems with my Charge 3, and now all of a sudden it won't receive text message notifications. Everything is still set up to receive notifications, as I can still receive Emails, WhatsApp and phone calls, I have impaired on Bluetooth and also tried rebooting like all the guides say, but no success.

Can someone please help?

wish we new what you did,  I have a Samsung A20..... still can't get it  work.    I upgraded to 3.14,  tried force stop for no logically reason.  uninstalled and reinstalled the App  unpaired & repaired the watch;  all permissions are on,  still no luck with getting text messaging to work    😣 🤨 😡

Well I did live chat tech support and they walked it through with me. You need to do that. It did not work when I was talking to her but after so it could be when I shut it down and synced it took a while to kick in. She also said after they fixed the problem you have to shut it down. They give you all the instructions when you call I have nothing to keep after our conversation.

I have struggled like many, but finally got it working on my Android S10. Like others, this has already worked for years and in 2020 it stopped. All other notifications work Messenger, calls, Bible apps, work apps, etc.. See if this works for you.

* Settings

** Apps

*** Fitbit

**** Permissions

***** Expansion (3 dots in the top right corner)

****** All permissions

******* Scroll down the SMS/ send and view SMS messages

******** Click OK on pop up window

 

I made several tests and they were all good.

With the help from this thread, my fitbit charge 3 is now working
again...receiving text message notifications.

I have owned my Charge 3 for almost 9 months. It has NEVER received any notifications from my iPhone 8+ . I have done every pairing and fix suggested in every thread— nothing. If you go a ways back in threads, you will see that this has been an issue for a long time.  I only wish I had known this before I purchased the Charge 3.  I would not recommend this to anyone, and look forward to replacing it soon with a different, more reliable brand.

Well I think it is us the customer that they need to do something about.
The device is not Fit ( pun) for purpose.
We all need collectively put in complaints.
