Hi all,
Up until today, I've had no problems with my Charge 3, and now all of a sudden it won't receive text message notifications. Everything is still set up to receive notifications, as I can still receive Emails, WhatsApp and phone calls, I have impaired on Bluetooth and also tried rebooting like all the guides say, but no success.
Can someone please help?

It is beyond annoying and frustrating. I would think Fitbit would be paying attention to the voiced frustration and genuine dissatisfaction with the Charge 3. A fix should have been here by now. If users leave and get this issue out there more wide spread maybe they will pay attention. I got my Charge 3 on Amazon, if the purchase is still there I will post my issue of not being able to receive text messages just to warn potential buyers

I am having an issue too. I spent way too much time trying to fix it on my S10e. Hopefully, they will fix it soon.

As everyone who is on this thread knows and the numerous other threads about text messaging not working on Charge 3 for a multiple number of phones, Fitbit and the Fitbit moderators have been aware of this issue for a very long time. They still have not fixed the text messaging. I would suggest that the best go to or alternative smart watch be suggested. There was something on the "
Xwatch " however the reviews weren't great on it. What would be the best smartwatch to go to ?

I have looked into this Xwatch you talked about and it seems pretty good. I saw a review that gave it a 3.5 out of 5. Which is not too bad. Has all the features that you would want on a smart watch. I'm still looking at other reviews.

I'm thinking it's the mobile provider you use. I have T Mobile. Each provider has its own text and messaging that they use. They're not all the same. If it's not the right kind then the text messages can't be seen or replied to. My Charge 3 vibrates and shows I get a text but when I press Open it goes back to the clock face and does nothing. Still, Fitbit hasn't warned us about this or fixed it. I had the same problem when I had the original Versa. No text messages. It's not the settings for when we get our Fitbit we already set text messages up. I have a Samsung S10+ but I'm not sure it's the phone brand. I'll be happy when Fitbit fixes this as it is a feature they say we have.

sounds like you are not getting text messages on your Charge 3. Apparently Fitbit doesn't follow these threads or are concerned about the feedback from customers or value of their customers. Looking for an alternative watch to go to that text messaging works. The X watch is a possible choice, if Fitbit is not going to fix the text messaging issue, suggest an alternative watch we can go to that works

I don't believe it's the provider! That's not it. I have sprint, a Samsung phone (Note10+). When I got my new phone, set everything up, my messages app WAS working and I WAS receiving it on my charge 3! After my phone received an update to the Android 10, that's when the messages app STOPPED being received on my charge 3! But all other apps, I still receive on my charge 3, just not my messages app. My previous phone the galaxy S10+, my message app was being received on my charge 3, then the update to the android 10 and it stopped. This has been since the beginning of January, and still no fix. It's been WAY too long. This needs to addressed and fixed, ASAP!!

Alright so I got mine to work again. What I had to do was delete the fitbit app from my phone and reinstall it again. Then when I went to enable notifications, do NOT turn off any that are in the list that pops up with fitbit, but do turn the fitbit one on. All of these need to be on in order for the fitbit app to receive and send your notifications to the tracker.
I haven't had an issue since I did this so I am hoping that this is now fixed... I hope this helps! And yes I am using a Samsung Galaxy S10 phone with Android 10.

I can no longer receive emails what’s app or texts messages in my charge 3. This is disgraceful

Glad you got yours working again. I got mine working again also. I went into my play store, pressed the 3 lines on top left corner, then pressed on my apps and games, then updated all that needed update. Luckily Fitbit was one that was in the update cue. Once all was finished updating, my text messages started working again on my charge 3. So anyone else having messages not being received on their charge 3, look in your play store, press the 3 lines in the search bar, go under my apps and games, and see all the apps that needs updating, hopefully Fitbit wil be one of them. The version is 3.14 now

I am having the same issues for weeks now...i have done everything to trouble shoot it...so frustrating

Did you try the fix I posted above? I had tried everything except that and that fixed my issue.
