All excited with my brand new Fitbit charge 3 (heard it could make fitness easier, please read sarcasm here)

Cannot pair it with my Samsung galaxy S8.

Have tried uninstall  reinstall the app rebooting my phone and  the Fitbit.  My phone works with other bluetooth devices..i removed them from available devices etc.. 

Thinking i need to return.. as this seems extremely hard work and I  could have been out excersing lol.

Please help

Does your fitbit keep turning off whilst trying to set up?  I have tried using my Samsung s8, ipad and PC but it just will not download/set up.
