Charge 3 Silent Alarm Not Dismissing

I’m having the same problem with my Charge 3.  Everything else works. It is synced with app. Every morning alarm goes off. I tap the button. It resets the alarm.  Nine minutes later—alarm goes off again.  Even getting up and taking a sip of water and morning pill doesn’t stop it if I return to bed.  Only thing that seems to work is actually waking up and getting my heart rate up a notch or two. I really only want the alarm go off once period. Like others I may just stop using it.

@mbstenger Welcome to the Fitbit family! I moved your post to the Charge 3 Board as there are more chances for you to receive an answer to your inquiry here. Thanks for reporting the situation you are experiencing with your Charge 3 alarm not turning off.

When your silent alarm goes off, the tracker flashes and vibrates. To dismiss the alarm, press the button. To snooze the alarm for 9 minutes, tap the ZZZ icon. Tap snooze as many times as you like. Charge 3 automatically goes into snooze mode if you ignore the alarm for more than 1 minute.

So, in this case, please press the button to dismiss the alarm.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

I am having the same problem.  The alarm goes off, I press the button.  It goes off again.  I think it is snoozing.

Where is this documented please? I checked the 'How to use' section in the app and it says nothing about snoozing.

Is there somewhere that all the Charge 3 usage features are fully documented?

@laaa Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to share the experience you are also having with the silent alarms. Thanks for pressing the button in order to dismiss it.

In this case, make sure you are pressing the button that it on the side of your tracker. It should be on the left side. Check if you are not pressing the ZZZ display icon shown below:

If you are actually pressing the tracker's button and still not working; please check if you don't have any other alarms set up for that time. If not, please perform a restart on your tracker and check if this happens again.

@dlorde I hope you're doing well! Thanks for posting your inquiry about where to find this information.

Please check the Charge 3 User's Manual to see all of this information documented.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

I am I not going to restart my Charge 3 every single day when my alarm keeps going off relentlessly. I have tapped on the chirping bird as well as the “Zzzz “, held down the button on the side and it still continues several times 😡

My fitbit charge 3 has NEVER dismissed the alarm when pressing the side button. It is BOA (Broken On Arrival). 😞

By accident one day I swiped left on the clock face to the one that says “alarms”, tap on that icon and it opens up to your alarm that is set. Tap on it and it draws a line through it and thus turns it off. It will not go off again. Just have to turn it back on later if you need it to go off the following day or whatever.

I had the same problem! Thank you.

My alarm always goes off two times (at the hour and 9 minutes later) no matter what I do. I've tried to "push the button", I've held the button, I've cycled through the screens, turned notifications off after the first alarm, left it alone to stop buzzing itself (as suggested in another post) and anything else I can think of. It makes no difference. The alarm still goes off two times, every time. This is my fourth fitbit (alta, charge, charge 2 and now charge 3) and I love it, but I'm really frustrated with this alarm feature.

I only use the side button to shut off my alarms but 90% of the time it still goes off again as if I snoozed it. Please help I’m about to chuck this charge 3 and go back to the Charge 2

I did find a solution. Not a great one, but it works. After the alarm goes off the first time and you push the button on the side, scroll right to the alarms icon and click on it. Then scroll to the bottom for the alarm that just went off. Tap it to turn it off and then tap again to turn it back on. It’s not ideal but at least it’s not going off again in 9 minutes.

4 months later and a fix hasn't been done for this yet. Just got in a huge fight with the wife because the alarm went off (snoozed) and it was on charge next to bed after I had gone to shower.

The side button is NOT dismissing alarm. It is snoozing it.

FITBIT - FIX THIS, ASAP.

I have tried repeatedly to dismiss the silent alarm by pressing the button and it still comes back on in 9 or 10 minutes. Help! I need the alarm to take my medication on time but I need it to work properly!
