Charge 3 Silent Alarm Not Dismissing

I’m having the same problem with my Charge 3.  Everything else works. It is synced with app. Every morning alarm goes off. I tap the button. It resets the alarm.  Nine minutes later—alarm goes off again.  Even getting up and taking a sip of water and morning pill doesn’t stop it if I return to bed.  Only thing that seems to work is actually waking up and getting my heart rate up a notch or two. I really only want the alarm go off once period. Like others I may just stop using it.

I have to press the button on the side twice. I had trouble figuring it out at first.

I wish just pressing the button twice worked. All it does is snooze.

The Charge 3 does alarm does NOT shut off when you press the button --- it still goes off two or three times --most annoying

I have the same experience with my charge 3 since day one. I also owned the charge 1 and 2 and did not have this issue. The problem is the charge 3 is laggy. If often doesn’t respond to my click or it stalls and then jumps through menus. When my silent alarm goes of it takes about 2-3 seconds for the display to “wake up” and show the little bird. If I push the button before it wakes up, it just snoozes. Sometimes it keeps vibrating and I click the button 1-2 more times and then the screen shows the bird, shows the zzz’s, and then snoozes. Now when the alarm goes off I wait for the display to wake up before hitting the button. So far so good!

Shouldn't have to upgrade,  this product (charge 3) should just work as expected.

There is an issue with your instructions. "When your silent alarm goes off, the tracker flashes and vibrates. To dismiss the alarm, press the 'button'. To snooze the alarm for 9 minutes, tap the ZZZ icon. "

There is NO 'button'!!!, there is only the snooze icon.

Just a Duck which I have tried to press with no results. And the the ZZZ icon which snoozed the alarm and is not the function I wish to do!

Not my instructions.

Mine would be:
On the left side of the case is a recessed rectangular spot. Press or tap
to the right there twice like a double click when the alarm goes off. Not
on the face.

Cheers.

Basically, pressing the button dismisses the alarm while tapping the screen snoozes it. Apparently, sometimes the screen maybe tapped unintentionally while pressing the button. The solution is to press the button twice to override any unintentional soonzing that you may have caused.

This shouldn't be marked as a solution.  There is a bug that needs to be investigated as it goes off twice even when pressing the button on the side.  Super annoying!  From one product mgr to another, please prioritize this bug.  I can send you my charge 3 if you want a working example.  It is driving me nuts that it doesn't work like this solution says.  😞

Actually, pressing the button twice without hitting the screen does not work. At all.

I totally agree! I have a number of alarms set - through necessity - and now I carry a small travel alarm clock with me (one that reset to the next reminder every time it goes off) because I can no longer count on this to work properly.

yeah i'm still having the same issues. I look at the watch. push the button
on the side once...it sits there for a second and then the "zzz" appears
and selects itself...there's no "accidental contact"...it's just buggy...i
also have issues where pressing the side button does nothing...i hit it
three or four times and then it suddenly wakes up, drills down into the
menus and disables the "wake up" feature...i frequently have to go back in
and turn it on.

No, itt doesn't work as you said -- I eventually had to remove the alarms completely as it also drove me nuts also!

When my alarm goes off I press the button on the side of the device once to snooze and twice to turn it off.

Since the software update the dashboard will update the most recent sync for the entire history. The main pages show the exact info, so the sync is writing over the previous info for prior days. However the graph pages have the correct tracking information. Because of this malfunction it take a very long time to sync the device and once synced the prior history’s tracking on the main pages are lost.

No, it does NOT turn off when you "press the button on the side twice". This has been going on for MONTHS and I test the function once a week to see if it's been fixed. As of this morning, it hadn't so it is STILL BROKEN. So, of course this has been marked as "fixed" by the developers because they cannot be bothered to actually fix it. When this thing finally dies, I will not buy anything more from Fitbit - I'll invest in something that actually works and appreciates their customers.

You need to edit the accepted solution as it has incorrect procedure for dismissing an alarm.

When a alarm goes off

Your first press of the button wakes the screen and you will see the duck.

You must before the ZZZ icon appears press the button again to dismiss the alarm you should see the time replace the duck on the screen. In all other cases the alarm is snoozed.

If when waking the screen or during normal operation of the Fitbit you press and hold the button a screen with two options appears. If you have reached this screen while dismissing the alarm it is in snooze mode.

I don't need to do anything. Take it up with FitBit HQ. Pressing twice
works for me.

If you miss the opportunity to cancel the alarm going into snooze...OMG
It'll come back and back and bother you again! What are the real problems
in life? This ain't it.

Yeah, sorry, this doesn't work.  That's all I do is hit the side button for varying lengths of time ... no dice!  Alarm comes back 9 minutes later.
