Charge 3 - Wallet and Revolut credit card not registering

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi

I have just bought a FitBit Charge 3 SE and am trying to setup my Wallet

However When I try to add my Revolut card which you say you support for UK https://www.fitbit.com/fitbit-pay/banks.it fails.

Uh oh! Looks like we don't support this card for use with Fitpay. Tap below to see suppoerted banks and cards. If you feel this is an error, please contact the card issuer.

Is there any workaround for this?

Hi daro_brand

I had an email from the second line support on Tuesday saying

"We are still investigating this on our end. We apologize for for any inconvenience, but we hope to get you back on track as soon as possible."

@Coximus , if you have a physical card, and it didn’t work, please try deleting the card and then re-installing it and then try it again at a payment point.

I would recommend others tryng this as well.  Sometimes, apparently, something can go wrong in the initial set up causing a valid card from a compatible bank account, to go wrong.

Deleting and re-installing would be a first troubleshooting step.  That would seem to be the best advice if both Revolut and Fitbit agree that everything should be working.

The problem Julia is that there is nothing to delete/remove since the card cannot be added in the first place. The app does not store my Revolut card details.

Or maybe you suggest to remove the whole fitbit app and re install ?

Ah, @kalhimeo , thanks for clarifying!  Apologies fir misunderstanding: I thought cards were being rejected when try8ng to pay — that’s the issue I had: I got the message “card not supported” .

Given what you said, I would suggest deleting the app and then re-installing it and once again trying to add your card.  I guess it is possible that an older version of the app is not recognizing new banks added to the supported list.

If it works, that will help a lot of people, so let us know.  If not, then I guess this is someth8ng that the bank and Fitbit will have to resolve between them.

Having the same issue with a new Revolut card in the U.K. Fitbit app (even after re-installation) won’t accept it, and Revolut say that while Fitbit say they support it, they don’t yet from their end. Bit of a Catch 22...

Maybe I need to use the card first to somehow validate it before Fitbit will accept it. Plus, I may have both GBP and EUR on my Revolut card at the same time - which currency  will Fitbit use?

Glad I'm not the only one. I tried 2-3 times during the week with the usual "easy" tips of shutting down-up & reinstalling everything but it didn't work out. I believe there might be an issue with the connection between Revolut API and Fitbit. Let's wait and see they get back to us!

Still no success, unfortunately. Any clue? Any successful case you can point us to?

Thanks

I am very frustrated with the same problem. When I tried to set up Fitbit pay I was dismayed to find hardly any UK banks were supported. So I opened a Revolut account especially as it was on the list! Then I found that didn’t work. I went to Fitbit help and was sent to revolut. Revolut  help sent me back to Fitbit. Fitbit then escalated the case.  I received this email confirming it had been escalated.

We're very sorry to hear about the issue you've experienced to add your card.

We're escalating this case and someone will be contacting you shortly.

Sincerely,

Christian and the Fitbit Team

That was last Sunday, 28th April and I have heard nothing at all since. I paid extra for my charge 3 to have Fitbit pay!!

Hi all,

I am trying with cards of my friends from Revolut and I found one card that I was able to add to fitbit. His card has the new MasterCard logo whereas mine has the old one.

Can you help me with this to try to find a correlation -- what year is your expiration date and when you look on the back of the card who is the issuer (small text at the bottom). For me the issuer is Paysafe and year is 2020, whereas my friend has different issuer.

Hi @daro_band

No issuer on mine (Although it might be TAG Systems), expiry is 2024

This problem was mentioned in other topics as well and somebody responded with this info from Revolut:

"I had the same issue (UK), and spoke to Revolut, who said that it is currently being tested with Fitbit Pay and only some cards are available. They’re hoping it will be rolled out soon, but have no timeframe. The Fitbit website listing Revolut as supported is very misleading!"

It is nearly 3 weeks old so hopefully Revolut will launch full support for Fitbit soon

Yes it is very misleading and I am not at all happy. Apart from not being able to use it I have wasted so much time on it!

Guys,

I figured it!!! It depends on your card issuer. I got a new virtual card (that costs 5 euro) and it worked!

Same doesn’t work for me, worked for boon.

but boon want to charge every month,

Os there a kick back too them probably !!!!!

It is massively frustrating especially a company the size of Fitbit,

not to get right first time and the cost’s in our time and money.

Also not to get UK banks involved ???

But you wonder why Apple charge to much

IT WORKS !!!!

I will give a month, if Fitbit don’t fix the issue.

I will put on eBay and buy an Apple iWatch,

at least I know it will work !

Not sure if its related but most of the Revolut cards I’ve seen in the UK are Visa not Mastercard, perhaps this is where the issue lies for many like me.

However Revolut virtual cards display the Mastercard logo so in principle should work?
