When I swipe over to Weather on my Charge 3, it never works and says to try syncing with my phone... That doesn't work either. Any insights?

They won’t refund our money because everyone who bought a charge 3 got ripped off and suckered into buying an item that always has something that doesn’t wrong. I loved prior fitbits and I had but after being treated so poorly over all the issues with the charge 3, I tell everyone I know to stay away from this brand. The do no stand behind their products.

Am I working for Fitbit? Not hardly. If I were I would refund/credit everyone who bought a bum charge 3 and create something that actually does what it’s advertised to do.

Ha Ha Ha! I am a retired, 70 year old IT professional.
Not working for Fitbit; was just having the same problem as you, but fixed whatever my issue was. Sorry it is not working for you. It might work for someone else, though, so I posted it.

Hi Jude, I wasn’t meaning to be rude to you, I appreciate your posted fix! Sadly my charge 3 has numerous ongoing problems besides the weather working if and when it wants to. I’ve addressed them with Fitbit and they don’t seem to care much.
I apologize for misdirecting my frustration towards you.

new info on my FitBit Charge 3:
I finally got Fitbit to agree to send me a new Charge 3. It worked even with the weather. On July 4 it updated the weather app and it started doing the same way with the weather will not sync on my iphone X. It works now 1 to 2 days and then it won't sync again. have to manual sync from the iphone on the fitbit app.
I'm not going to buy another watch, I got this in christmas 2018. They need to refund my money, not another buggy watch.
So, i have gave up now. I'm done!

i guess i realized i used the weather app only slightly more than i use the relax app (0). I just looked at it for the first time in weeks. It was updated 31 min ago (not bad from what I recall before I gave up on it) and seemed spot on for the coming days forcast. As long as my steps, exercizes, and sleep (most days) are accurate, I can live with it. For a first time FB buyer tho, who was pretty excited about having one with all the promises, I would rate my satisfaction @ 5 out of 10.

I use it for the mostly the bp as i'm 75 years old and have heart failure. I do walk and the bp is so so accurately. I do use the weather a lot for a hobby i guess when I was a commercial pilot years ago. I the idea i think that if they say it works it should! not just when you have sync my weather. I think they should send my my $110 and let me get apple iwatch that will work. anyway, i done with fitbit now and hope they fix it.

Versa and everything works beautifully -- should've gotten it in the first
place. The Charge 3 should have never been marketed.

This makes me so sad at this point. This was my birthday money, it isn’t a year old and it never has worked right. FitBit doesn’t care. They have never made one attempt to make it right. Unbelievable.

Oh! Sorry! Mine lost weather one time, but when I tapped it, my main weather plus my two other locations came back immediately. Who knows what is going on with this stuff that we depend on now? Russians will win if they just take out the electrical grid:-(

I followed the instructions,Location was allowed on my phone,sync was completed,still no weather info,any other ideas,it was working fine for three locations until your change was made with addition of Discover ???😬

changes there's no Gear in the to right corner to click,getting Weather is
iffy,why do they have to keep tinkering with the app without much

It is almost a year that I got my first Fitbit charge 3 and then had problems early on so AMAZON was willing to swap it out (FITBIT OFFERED NOTHING) and I still have daily glitches with synching, the weather, stair counting to name the most frequent. The battery drains fast sometimes for no apparent reason, the screen won’t wake despite not changing the setting or the screen will wake after I turned off the wake settings. The is the worst purchase I have every made, simply because after a year of going back an forth with FITBIT, they just don’t care. I think we should all either get half our money back or all the money we spent as a credit towards a new Fitbit. I love the app, I love the STYLE and size of the Charge 3. But I will never recommend Fitbit to a friend due to the awful remorseless mostly non existence customer service I’ve received.
