Charge 3 Weather not showing on device

When I swipe over to Weather on my Charge 3, it never works and says to try syncing with my phone... That doesn't work either. Any insights?

The hand synch worked just like rebooting the device however, these solutions are incredibly inconvenient. What’s the point of having a handy accessible app on your wrist if you’ve got to hand synch or reboot the device the first time for it to work. I’m sure this was not the intent of the developer and I hope they update it and get it to work as intended.

Why is this problem not solved?? Weather was showing on my Charge 3 when I first installed it and I was happy. But shortly afterwards it stopped showing. So I did a re-install and it showed again. But after a while it stopped again! I conclude that this app is not working properly. So why is Fitbit not solving this?

The same applies to the 'time to go to bed' notification. This shows on my iPhone but NOT on my device. It simply does not work...

As soon as the app closes the weather disappears from the watch

I’m post-weather. I’ve given up on waiting for this to be fixed. Huge let down - I updated from FitBit Flex 2, when I could have had the same functionality without spending the extra money. I’d like my money back.

This is my first Fitbit and I am really pleased with it. I didn’t go with the versa or other smartwatch style Fitbit because I personally dislike the large size of them. With the charge 3 I feel like I can do push ups without it digging into my wrist. That being said I am disappointed that the weather app doesn’t function as I believe it was intended.

I feel the same way. I wanted to give my husband my Charge 2, but he has a Droid. It seems, according to reviews, Droids have app problems (!)

i was so happy with my Charge 2 that I joyfully bought the Charge 3.

Oh well. I have a Fitbit that works. And a Charge 2 for a back-up.

And the Weather Channel app!☺️😉👍😃 Happy Holidays and good health!

Not working to me. It only syncs when I add or change the cities. I was expecting that to update everytime it syncs.

I had to add a city to my weather settings to get it to show weather.  It doesn't seem right that I would have to do that, since I have location services turned on.  The problem is I want to add more cities but the limit is three, correct?  And current location counts as one of those three?  So in reality I can only add one more.

Don't get me wrong, I love the charge 3.  I previously had an Alta (not HR) but the added info available from the charge 3 is great.  There are just a few little things that aren't quite working as expected.

My Charge 3 is new and I’m not able to get it to sync with my iPhone. Weather of course is not working even though I put my City in.

Why wont it sync? I put my charge 2 all the way on the far side of the house and it’s not connected on my Bluetooth anymore. My charge 3 says it is connected to Bluetooth, but it’s not syncing.

Hi Lucetta- make sure your Bluetooth is on. Nothing happens without Bluetooth!☺️

Weather is a real hot topic in the Fitbit Community. There’s lots of info on this thread. Too much for me to list in one reply. Look there...☺️

My charge 3 is stuck saying no weather data. try sinking with your phone. I have tried what was posted on site.

The surest way I know to get weather on my Charge 3 is (1) do a normal sync w/my phone, and when that is complete (and before I close my FitBit phone app),(2) swipe left on my Charge 3 to the Weather icon, and (3) tap the Weather icon whereupon I’m usually greeted by ‘sad sun’ telling me to sync. (4) I then wait about 3 seconds and the updated weather will pop onto the Charge 3 screen. This assumes you’ve got ‘location services’ turned on for the FitBit app on your phone.

My NEW Charge 3 wont stay connected to my  iPhone Bluetooth. Therefore the weather portion doesn’t work sometimes other functions won’t work. I replaced my charge 2 with this 3 , but it seems to have glitches.

Is it a pairing issue?

If you have an iphone make sure battery saver is off. The app won't refresh in the background if it's on and syncing won't work until you turn it off. Turn the saver off and sync again. May take a few seconds to show on the fitbit.

Looks like the latest firmware update is addressing this weather issue.  Can’t wait for it to be available to me so I can test it out!
