Charge 3 - WhatsApp notifications not working properly

Charge 3 have some issues with WhatsApp notifications. 

 

Notifications that I read in the phone doesn't disappear from charge 3 automatically.

 

If I receive messages from group in WhatsApp, I see in the notifications the same way as private messages (the group name doesn't appear in charge 3)

 

When I'm far from my phone, charge 3 might vibrate twice (as if I got 2 messages), when I get a message. 

(and it might also duplicate some messages) 

 

I hope you'll fix this bugs, it is annoying.

Thank you for your response.

But it didn't answer my questions. 

 

I do receive all the notifications I want from the phone, but there are bugs in the way Charge 3 display those notifications (as I described in the previous post).

Hi @Sportl33t, thanks for coming back and for clarifying your post previous post. 

 

I'd recommend restarting your Fitbit Charge 3 by following these steps. Also, please try logging out and logging back into your Fitbit app. 

 

If the notifications from WhatsApp are still not working properly, please try setting up the notifications again:

 

  1. Tell your phone to "forget" your device, removing the connection between the phone and the Fitbit device. 
    1. On your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and find your Fitbit device in the list.
    2. Find an option to forget the device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and set up notifications again.

 

In regards to the group notifications, you should receive the name of the person who is sending the message follows by @ and the name of the group. If the name of the person who is sending the message is too long, that would be a reason why you're not seeing the name of the group.

I did all the steps as you mentioned.

But it still doesn't work.

What else could it be?

(my WhatsApp messages are in Hebrew)

Hey @Sportl33t! After the last update on Charge 3 Hebrew notifications are supported. Currently, it's only available on Charge 3. It is just the first step to fully supporting Hebrew notifications. We are aware of limitations and issues, like messaging in reverse order. 

 

If you clear a notification from your device, the notification is removed from your phone's notification center. If you clear a notification from your phone, the notification is removed from your device.

 

If your device is not clearing the notifications after you clear them on your phone, I'd recommend restarting your Charge 3 by following these steps. The restart should also work for the duplicate notifications.

I tried all the solutions for that, but it doesn't show the group name, and the name is not too long.

Hello @Sportl33t, thanks for trying the suggestions recommended! As mentioned, you should receive the name of the person who is sending the message at the beginning, follows by @ and the name of the group. If the name of the person who is sending the message is too long, that would be a reason why you're not seeing the name of the group. 

 

If the name of the group is not too long, but the sender is, that would be the reason why the name of the group doesn't show or shows incomplete.
