My charge 3 was purchased 15 months ago.

 

it started with a smile permanently on which was very faint, now does not light up or cold boot. 

tried the 8 second reboot it just vibrates but does nothing!! Help

I’ve had the same issue.  For it’s never seem to last much more than the 1 year lifespan. Software reboot from phone doesn’t work either.
