Just wanted to see if anybody else out there has successful swam or gotten their charge 3 wet without any issues? I’m a little wary on it actually being waterproof.
Success stories, or fail stories, I want to hear them!

I have had two charge 3s and both I have bought to swim with - both have broken - the first in 6 months and the second with in two months. They get lines across the screens and when you try to replace them, Fitbit is a disaster to deal with.
I got a charge 4 in a last bid to give them one more chance but price wise I have now ‘currently’ paid for 3 with no sights of a refund as yet from Fitbit 👎🏽

My 2nd Charge 3 has just died after my first return to a swimming pool after Covid-19 closing of pools. Like you, I bought them specifically to monitor my regular swims (there's an exercise function for this, so must be supposed to be used for normal swimming!) & avoid me having to count lengths & then input data manually. The first Charge 3 this happened to (faded screen with lines across) was replaced without any fuss by the company I purchased it from. Think it's now out of warranty & probably won't be so lucky second time around. Love Fitbits for other functions, but I'm not a runner & think there must be a device out there which is truly waterproof. I don't want to dive or shower with it on (imagine a jet of water under pressure may penetrate) or even jump into the pool.........just swim for fitness!!!

I had 3 swims in Sydney harbour . Now it s permanently damaged.
Charge3 DOES NOT survive 30minutes swim. Result: recharging is compromised. Shows FULL and 10 minutes later dead.

Definitely NOT WATERPROOF. That is a false advertisement from the company. The company just reads the forums but does not care or replies. If you are lucky your device is still within the year of warranty, you will get one for free (so dont get it anywhere close to a sneeze within a year). Otherwise, get a 25% discount towards the purchase of a NEW one. Why would I get a product that does not stand by what it advertises?

I use to rarely swim or wear mine in the shower. Over the summer I started to keep it on and wear it, it stopped working today, and looks like water may have keeps into where the battery is located. Buying a new one now, and won’t be getting it wet.
