Charge 3 added 58000+ steps on Sundays

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Last Sunday I had 58000+ steps registered on my Charge 3 first thing in the morning.

Today (also Sunday) I had 58000 steps registered around 12:30am and again at 1:30am.

Any ideas why?

It’s good to see you in the community, @jkusty.

Thanks for the details shared in your post. I understand your concern and recommend confirming if you have MobileTrack paired to your Fitbit account. MobileTrack lets you use the Fitbit app without a Fitbit device by using your phone's sensors to track basic activity data including steps, distance, and calories burned. For more information, see How do I use Fitbit MobileTrack? MobileTrack may add extra steps and I recommend removing it from your Fitbit account if you're not using it: How do I remove a Fitbit device from my account?

Hope this helps.

I do not have Mobile track turned on.  The large number of steps are during the night when I am sleeping.

Thank you for your reply, @jkusty.

I appreciate the additional details and recommend confirming the following:

  1. Open the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab, and tap your profile picture.
  2. Check if you see MobileTrack on the list. Remove it and see if the issue persists.

You can remove the extra steps from your total by following the instructions in this help article: How do I delete steps and floors in the Fitbit app?

Hope this helps.
