Hi, @Gdogman! @CLTGreg, your information is incorrect. Currently, trackers that are using the smartwatch OS (Ionic, Versa, and Charge 3) can't be on an account at the same time, as documented here. You would have to remove and add each one as you're using them. I think a lot of people would love to see that functionality added and hopefully Fitbit is seeing that!

You should. Make sure your device is listed as having the ability here: https://www.fitbit.com/devices. If it doesn't say you can do it then you can't. They don't list non-features. But I imagine most if not all devices are supported.

I'm concede with one caveat. The Inonic and Versa must not be trackers. Because that would make https://www.fitbit.com/devices false. I actually don't think fitbit is trying to be clever and trick people. They need to update the devices page. On purpose or not it's deceptive.

Thanks for stopping by @Gdogman and @CLTGreg! My friend @MakMak is right.

Thank you for your feedback regarding adding Fitbit Versa and Charge 3 to the same account.

Currently, I don't have information about this being possible but I hope this could happen in the future. Operation systems from both devices are very similar and at this time, having both devices on the same account cause difficulties.

Keep on visiting the forums.

You need to have the Devices webpage annotated to reflect this conflict. People aren't going to pick up on the nuance without an "*".

"Connect multiple trackers to one account and the Fitbit app will automatically detect when you switch between them. So you can wear Fitbit Surge during workouts and use Fitbit One to discreetly track your day."

Very disappointed to hear this. It used to be possible and it was on this understanding that I bought an Ionic. I didn't want to use the same device for both day time tracking and training and for sleep tracking because I suffered from a severe rash from wearing the surge day and night.

Hi, @Drids, you can have the Charge 3 and Ionic on the same account with a workaround.  Currently this is possible with earlier versions of the Windows 10 app and Android app.  Once added to the account they sync together and, in my experience work well.  Which OS do you use for set up?

Hi Julia_G thanks for the response! I used the android app. What do I have
to do?

Hi, @Drids, you need to get a slightly earlier version of the Fitbit app in order to add the device.  For Android version 2.81 works.  I *think* (but I won't swear) that once you have both devices on your account you can update the app and they will still both be there.

Also, I have only tested this by having Ionic/Versa on first and then adding Charge 3 -- sometimes which order you add them in makes a difference.

Please do report back on how this works for you.

Happy new year to you too!

I should probably add that you will be using your Fitbits not entirely according to instructions, so it is possible that some features of the app will not work consistently -- I have not found any issues myself, however.

I used to be able to have my Charge 3 and Ionic on the same account - but that functionality is apparently no longer permitted.  That's very frustrating.  I would imagine this happened with a recent software update, so Fitbit - please bring that feature back ASAP.  Thank you.

I’d like to have both on the on account so I can wear the charge 3 during the day and night and the ionic for training. Why is this not possible.

Same issue here. Until last week everything seemed to work flawlessly between trackers and the iOS app but today I just realised my ionic wasn’t syncing and had no HR or sleep monitoring. Due to this, I just reset the ionic and when it was getting setup again I saw that new “switch to ionic” at the bottom of the screen which deleted my charge 3 to setup the ionic again....

this kind of things put me so off this brand. If something work, why the need to change it?

Now im thinking of getting rid of the ionic as it just became a hassle to switch to and my primary tracker is the charge 3 because of my work.
