I have a Alta HR, Charge 2 and an Ionic. They all played nice together so I never thought that a Charge 3 would be any different. Just got a Charge 3 because I wanted a smaller waterproof watch for every day wear and my Ionic for actual training.
Started set up and found out cannot have C3 and Iconic on same account.
FITBIT FIX THIS NOW!!!!

According to Fitbit uk on Facebook they won’t change this and that’s how
this brand steps down in my appreciation list.
I used to share my ionic and charge 3 on the same account but now I have to
set them up every time I want to switch my watches which has made the ionic
to end up in a drawer called pit of misery...

The question should not be why, but when will it be possible? 😉

This is extremely disappointing. We’ve been Fitbit users for over 7 years now and have owned many of your trackers, yet now adding the charge 3 is not possible in combination with the ionic. And also no point into looking any of the other new ones as extra’s to change things up, as versa and inspire al have the same problem. I mean, seriously Fitbit, you’re losing money because there’s no point for me to own more than one device anymore, that is a weird business model change! It could even mean I switch to a different brand, because Fitbit has lost one of the best features: seamless integration between devices! I would like a clear answer if enabling these new generation devices at the same time on the same account is even on the roadmap and if so what is the timeframe? If them having the same/similar OS is giving issues (which honestly sounds like a bs reason) then this really should have been properly thought out before you went to the same OS for all new devices!
Let me keep on being a fan and advocate for the brand and fix this, I’m clearly not alone in wanting to own and use multiple devices (like I have been able to do up until now).

This problem has been around for what, at least 2 years? As someone who worked in software engineering for more than 30 years, I find it hard to believe it couldn't be fixed in that timeframe.
Is there a plan to ever fix this problem?
Will Fitbit offer refunds to those who mistakenly bought a second device hoping to use both? I have a Charge 3 that has been sitting in a box, unused, for more than a year.
Now that Fitbit is pushing the Fitbit 4 out the door, it is time to fix this problem for real.
Will a Charge 4 be usable with an Ionic?
Will a Charge 4 be usable with a Charge 3?
Come on, guys!

Wholeheartedly agree, Vince FF! Though I wonder if Fitbit is monitoring this solved thread any longer 😞

Why has this not been addressed I would like to wear my Iconic and Charge 3 on the same day not at the same time.
I don’t understand why this can’t happen?
